- 500,000 Americans protested the Iraq War.
- 600,000 Americans protested the Vietnam War.
- 2,900,000 Americans protested Donald Trump.
An estimated 5 million people protested him worldwide... Bush and Obama protestors numbered in the tens-of-thousands.

Exactly what was the purpose of these marches? That they didn't get the president that they voted for? If so, that really sounds like what is being called "snowflakes" now. I had to actually look up what was a snowflake.
A google search says, "The goal of the marches is to raise awareness of women's rights and other civil rights participants fear could be threatened under Donald Trump's presidency."
What women's rights are being violated? Abortion? I'm honestly not clear on what was their purpose. And after hearing the speeches from Madonna and Ashley Judd, it sure feels like they are just perpetuating women degrading stereotypes.

Trump is already the worst president in history, and it's only been a week. Good times.

That is always the same pattern. Now, Mr. Trump is hyped on the internet as the Master of Evil, next week it will be forgotten and a new topic comes up.
I wonder why they did not march against Hillary and the Libya campaign where she did not even manage to protect the Ambassador and his staff.
On last years New Years morning nearly 1000 cases were filed for pussygrabbing, thievery and so on, mainly commited by african riff raff. Guess, how many did march. Zero. But OK, the weather was not pleasant.

Even if it is forgotten next week, he'll be rightfully lambasted for some other colossal f up.
Heads of other countries don't want to meet with the guy. This isn't some random mess up. It's what he does.

Yeah, i agree. As i said some weeks ago, he will probably fall when it comes to international affairs. But let´s see.

Amazing and true. Not only are his policies revolting, but he is making huge procedural errors on these executive orders as well (not consulting with or even informing the enforcing agencies, etc). My mom made a prop bet on there being impeachment hearings within a year. I think she's got a good shot at it.

Just for any foreigners that are curious, ignore most of the media and Hollywood.. more of the US is for the slight adjustments to immigration than those that are opposed. You start to see how truly biased the media is when they report on news stories such as this.

Not directing this towards anyone specific (wink, wink) but I love the block feature on this website, particularly for topics like this one.
BTW, there hasn't been a single murder on US soil committed by an immigrant from any of the 7 countries that Trump has just put an immigration freeze on. Not a one in at least the last 40 years. And that dipshit Guiliani went on FOX News over the weekend and admitted that it is a Muslim ban. Literally said the words.
Trump is already the worst President in the history of this country and it's been EIGHT days.

And since i doubt you have an indian american background i guess you better pack your bags and leave the USA. You dont belong there. Its not your country either.

It's ok, the other side lives off of alternative facts now. And anything negative Trump does is Obama's fault.
And 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia...but too many business ties there.

I don't have anything else to add. He is already wildly unpopular as President.
Edit: Quinnipac has his approval rating at 36%, BTW. And a federal judge ruled his Muslim ban unconstitutional (amid dozens of peaceful protests at huge airports all over the country).

What is the purpose of the tax return thing anyway? Are you wanting to show that he found rules in the system to reduce his taxes? I would certainly hope so if he is paying attorney fees to do that. I personally take a right off on my home mortgage interest, so does that make me a bad person? I don't offer to give the money more money than i'm basically forced to.
If taxes is your thing, then put a flat tax system and get rid of this awful, supremely complex thing we have in place. Hell, that would even allow the government to save money with a simplified system too.

I find it extremely interesting that Trump in the first week of being in office has taken a page from Obama and done the Executive Order thing in order to carry though on his actual campaign promises. I guess everyone (mainly the media) is going crazy because they see a politician doing what he said he was going to do. But then, Trump is not really a politician but a business man ... which again, is one of the main reasons why conservatives votes for him and not Corrupt Hillary.
But for all of my liberal "friends", I do worry about this becoming a trend that Obama has essentially started and Trump taken to the next level. If presidents basically right their own laws into place, we no longer are a republic but a dictatorship. The real problem is that the left and right can no longer work together on anything. Can this issue be resolved? If not, where does it end up going?

I have quit long. I did not have televison for years. A friend gave me an old, small one for the World Cup, but it is off most of the time. There is only crap on TV anyway.

The reality is that more Americans are for the temporary travel ban than against it. The problem is that much of the media generally only represents the side that yells the loudest. So, you see the protests.. Congrats, but liberals have recently shown us that they will cry anytime they don't get their way. A liberal would likely protest Trump pulling children out of a burning orphanage. And all they're doing is pushing the middle more towards the right..
