That was Collison.
There is no rhyme or reason for this defense/TO to be as bad as it 20 games into the season.

Carter, Marion and Fisher show the most effort. The rest of the team does not have a winning mentality.

I don't totally disagree, but at the same time I don't understand why Rick isn't running the offense through OJ, our best player.

I fear OJ is a little bit like JET. Once the defense concentrates on him, he becomes invisible. OJ needs to fight through it and be more agressive vs. elite teams (esp. on the road).

1. Crowder should not start another game, pretty bad when he is not out there with the second unit
2. RC's coaching this year is pretty horrible. Not playing Wright, keeping Kaman in who was awful!
3. Collison seems to get traded if he does not pick it up, can't understand what happened to him. Off a P&R he did not even look to penetrate.
Carter is the only player this year, who is playing good and with effort/energy. He gets a pass, when he stinks it up at some point!

I'd add Wright, Dahntay, James and Crowder to that list of guys that play hard. Crowder and James are both limited and inconsistent, but always play hard. Wright always plays with good consistency and energy. Dahntay has been the surprise of the season when he plays, but rarely gets any burn-- dude defends as good as anyone and has shown pretty decent offensive skills.

The Clippers are a damn good team. If they play like that they could win it all.
Dirk isn't gonna completely change this mess. Not enough to make a real run.

Crowders rebounding may get him knocked out of this league, he'd better step it up.

Well he hasn't been a good rebounder from the get-go, but his shooting is what is troublesome in my eyes. 3-26 in his last four games. How the hell does that happen?

Taking him out of his comfort zone in the second unit?

Deceptive when the majority of those minutes are Crowder's who is 4 inches shorter than the guy he is trying to box out.

NBA is not a charity event. Crowder needs to grab 5-6 rebounds in 20min on regular basis. The same goes for Wright. Nobody asks them to be next Rodman and Barkley.

Indeed-- Crowder does need to be able to secure at least a couple of boards or he can't play that position. Wright is also being played out of position, which is hurting him most.
Mavs are +20.3pp48 when he is playing PF,
and -9.8pp48 when he plays center.
He hurts the team when he is expected to be the center, but when played in his natural position he gives us the best lift of any single player not named Dirk. If he could play with Kaman or James, I'm sure we'd see his already good numbers go up and his sub-standard rebounding go up. Kaman and Dirk are both guys that block out but don't secure boards. Wright is the opposite.
But my main point was that stats are deceiving when you combine two player's stats and think that the stat really impacts either player as much as individual stats.

I agree with the above poster that Vince, Marion, Fish show the most energy.
Throw OJ in there, dude is trying to figure things out. I like Crowder but only as a second teamer. He even alluded to him being passive with the starting unit.
Indifferent to Collison. I think he's kinda mad at what has happened, but its up to him to change that.
