Not a surprise loss and was hoping to go 5-1 over the next 6 games including last night.
Now we MUST go 5-0 over the next 5 (Nuggets twice, Wolves, Magic, and Kings) which shouldn't be difficult if we just focus for 48 minutes.

Portland has a pretty tough schedule coming up and we need to take full advantage of it. Although we haven't beaten OKC, I'd have no problem playing them in the POs. The 5 spot isn't out of reach either with Gasol out the rest of season and Green gone.

Can't let this one get us down....should have been somewhat expected.

We lost this game based on our defense and defense probably isn't improving without a roster change.

I keep thinking that too. It seems like that's the main key for the team to win. Especially against good teams. Figuring out when to have Dirk play aggressive and some other guys taking the initiative to be leading scorer.

Why not? Is this board so freaking busy that it's impacting it in some way? Or are you just bitching for the sake of bitching?

In all reality, it's annoying..

Pot, meet kettle... Why don't you talk about basketball every once in a while so you don't come across like such a one-note troll?

Nobody here cares about poster drama from a completely different website -- how the hell can you even defend that nonsense with a straight face?

The arguing back and forth makes my heart warm. No way could this back and forth be done on twitter in 140ish characters.

Mejri is the one who people should be clamoring for more minutes. 6 pts and 4 blocks in 9 blocks, and he basically controlled the defense when he was in there. Seriously, if blocking Durant isn't going to get you minutes then what will?

Yeah and that is what struck a nerve when I heard Rick say Lee will play the 5. I figured Mejri would get some burn against the Thunder because he had such great games the other two meetings, and because Lee wasn't fully acclimated to our system, but I'm sure there are several DNPs coming Mejri's way as Lee becomes more involved.

Without either Mejri or McGee in the game we'll have problems defending. This team simply has to be hot 40+ MPG on jumpers (and layups) because that is our only chance of beating the elite teams. Doing that in a multi-game series is nearly impossible....especially elite teams that are strong defensively.
I'd rather take my chances with Mejri and/or McGee as backup centers because they have the ability to disrupt opponents' offensive flow. Unfortunately Rick seems to see them as disrupters to our offensive flow.
