Have D-Will and Matthews ever had a good game on the same night?

It's because Matthews is D-Will with defense. Otherwise they are the same player-- both players are most comfortable either sitting behind the three or posting up guards.
D-Will really doesn't like to break down defenses and drive (although he can). Interestingly enough, Matthews would probably play better next to Ellis or Rondo than Williams, because of how similar their games are.

D-Will has looked pretty disinterested for awhile now. I wonder how RC and the rest of the team really feels about him. Maybe they are prepared to let him walk outright. Great guy in the clutch for the most part. But his defensive effort has been atrocious for a good while now.

His playmaking isn't far behind his defense. Seriously, how many times has he done the 3 yard dash back and forth along the three point line? Am I the only one who notices that?
I just can't believe he doesn't want to be one of the best pgs in the league because we all know the talent is there. I guess the worry of injury has made him realize that he'll likely only get one more decent sized contract. Not worth risking a season ending one.

Dwill always looks like he's put the cruise control on 65 and will rarely push the gas just a hair if the situation presents itself. I think what DH said is right, I think it's in his head that if he puts the gas on he will get injured again, and seeing him injured on a weekly basis tells me he is prolly right. Body just can't handle him going full speed(looking at you felix jones).

I'm all for keeping some semblance of continuity. But very wary of another long term deal with Dwill. No way he plays at a high level for 3-4 more years. Like y'all said he's on cruise control. Come playoff time I fully expect a dialed in Dwill. Problem is who else is out there?
Maybe Jeremy Lin? We have precious few assets and probably need to keep JA. Powell may fetch a decent backup pg type? Problem with trades is no one is going to salary dumping guys with exploding cap. And players like Teague are suddenly huge bargains.

That's the tricky part... Other than Deron Williams, the only other unrestricted PG worth a damn is Mike Conley... Rondo isn't coming here, so you're basically looking at guys like Jeremy Lin, Brandon Jennings or Ty Lawson. Go any further down the list and you might as well just roll with Harris or Barea as your starting PG.

It serves to underscore two thing: the failure of the Rondo trade. And the inability to draft and develop a PG
Schroeder was available and they traded down to save a few bucks and take the midget. So many bad things flowed from that terrible decision- not taking the Greek Freak aside. Worst decision of the Mark Cuban era(off the top of my head). Yah we got Ty back for a season but he left for nothing in return and we gave up what precious assets we had left to get him. Having a guy with Schroeders skill set, athleticism would really help this team immensely right now.

If it comes down to letting DWill walk in order to sign someone like Howard I'd say we should do it.
If we resign and overpay DWill and get stuck with a backup caliber center we are no better off than what we are this season.
Think I'd take my chances with Felton/Harris/Barea in that situation if Rick would refrain from playing any two of them at the same time.

I'm not sure if its even worth bringing Howard in without Deron here. I'd rather just stink next season and get a good draft pick. If we can't get Dwight with Deron being here.
