Team never got a secondary shot creator and once again Luka is alone trying to do it all

Cuban basically lied to the fan base when he said they would try to get that guy

But then again they have been needing that type of guy for the last 4 years so at this point I really have any confidence this FO or Cuban doing what's best for the team and Luka

Hell they are so devoted to Dwight Powell they are going to try and force this roster to work out.

We just got a new front office. I won’t agree that Cuban lied. For all we know he did try to get a second ball handler. What we do know is he failed to get one.

Yeah, I find it hard to be upset when we just aren't good. I commend the team for giving their best with the talent they have. All my hate goes towards the trash FO that simply refuses to put real talent around Luka.

We have whiffed on FA pickups the past few years

We got a center starting who's arguably the worst starting C in the NBA and the sad thing is his locker room leadership apparently means more to this organization as opposed to his actual skill level.

Kidd needs to seriously consider moving forward with a starting lineup of KP, Kleber, DFS, Brunson and Luka

Everyone settle the F down. All we need is a Center, a secondary playmaker, and a PF lol. Well we also need our 3pt specialists to hit 3s. I might be mistaken but if we give more 1 dimensional guys raises it will make them better. Maybe the FO can pay these guys into 2 way players.

Honestly they tried hard. So there's that.

DP has to be the worst in the league at defending the PnR. I know we didn't have Maxi or KP but it's been 3 years too long of the dude bungling around in the paint.

Watchin Willie....that guy gets caught looking while others rebound so often. Willie contests a shot and then doesnt often give a second effort. He came into the game and forced us to play a zone because he got beat 3 times on a row and didn't block out a few times.

But even more depressing is if KP comes back healthy, then we might just be good enough not to make any real changes...again.

This team doesn't have enough talent for Luka to get them involved. He had 16 potential assists that yielded 5 actual assists because his teammates suck S so badly. This team will not win a playoff series even if they make it to the playoffs.

That's exactly what happened, yes, and trying to not go into a full rebuild as soon as we got Luka was the nail in the coffin though. It's the same mistake the Pelicans did with Davis btw, trying to be too good, too soon. Look at the Hawks' roster, and look at ours. It's an absolute joke, and we could realistically lose Luka thanks to it sooner than you would think.

We didn't have Maxi or KP. You never know what KP is going to bring but the game would have been much tighter with both of them available, in theory.

It's not making excuses. Miami is good and we were missing 2 bigs that are key parts of our rotation. They are a top 2 or 3 team in the league currently. Lowry and Herro went off making big 3s and big plays and they did it vs our best defenders. Reggie, Frank and DFS couldn't really stop them.

The doom and gloom is warranted because we have the same fn roster essentially. Not because of how we lost last night.

Miami is good because of shrewd drafting and good talent acquisition. This team had the ability to have Bogdonavic and Desmond Bane, Demar DeRozan etc but we fall in love with our own replacement level players and stand pat basically since 2019. Pathetic.
