Because they're the Lakers I guess.

Although they didn't get Kyrie Irving.

Lol just realized thanks to twitter... Malik Beasley and Pippen Jr sharing a locker room. That won't be awkward at all.

So Russ will land on his feet somewhere, but not Utah.

I have no idea what Minnesota is doing.

They gave up 5 1st round pics for Rudy Gobert and now they're teaming him up with washed Mike Conley again.

Brunson and Hart were teammates in 2017 at Villanova.

Josh Hart is worth a 1st? I know he is (was?) a plus defender, but he?s a terrible shooter from 3. Reddish got traded like he wanted, so maybe he figures it on his his 3rd team. Never heard of the other 2 guys.

The likely reason IMO anyway there hasn't been a ton of trades is they have to negotiate a new CBA this year. Remember last time the season didn't start until Christmas. So we'll have no way of knowing if Kyrie will remain in Dallas until the CBA is signed, and they can change any of the rules as far as the salary cap or anything else.

Damn, Raptors got Poetl for a first and 2 2nds. I'm guessing the Spurs didn't want to give him to us in the same division if we were even in the mix.

Yep, they even kept CP3. KD + Booker + CP3. Someone said the Nets were bad at trades and they were right.

At least Durant won't hold up anymore moves. Mavs need to be aggressive because that Lakers trade was solid as well.

Oh the entire universe knows that but it was me on here.

Although we fleeced the Nets compared to what the Suns game up in draft compensation. Durant is also 34.

But man did the Suns just get a loooooot better this season.

My gut reaction is we are going to look back on this as the Nets fleecing the Suns. The Suns lack of depth is going to kill then unless Shamet, Lee, and Craig really step up.

Again, it's KD, but phx did give up their best defender.

The league has gone nutso on offense.

Kd still averaging 30 ppg. I don't think he'll fall off in the next 3 years which is how long he's under contract.

We'll have to deal with them for sure if we want to win the West.

KD won't fall off but he's not Lebron. His body will get dinged here and there as he gets older. Or at least I think it's more likely with his body than Lebron.

Yeah the Nets have a bunch of solid players now but no star. Them and the Jazz are rebuilding but they both have a lot of picks.

Do yall agree or disagree with this

MSN
The biggest issue with Irving joining a starting five of Doncic, Christian Wood, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Reggie Bullock is that there is no defense or rim protection anywhere. Even swapping Wood for Dwight Powell, the Mavs aren?t getting all that much in the way of defense.

That?s why, with on big NBA trade deadline deal already in the books, the Mavs have to keep going and get a rim protector to round out their lineup.

The defense is crucial because having Luka and Kyrie on the floor at the same time makes Wood nearly unplayable.

We just need a guy who can box out and grab a million boards for those matchups. We need perimeter defense depth too.

And yes I agree Wood's value has taken a hit on our team with Kyrie. Maybe if we could trade THJ then Wood could still have a 20min role off the bench when kyrie or luka rest. But I don't see him as a long term fit personally so all the more reason to trade him.

It should be obvious to anyone that defense is the problem with the roster in place right now.

Pretty sad that a team that had KD-Harden-Kyrie ended in 0 rings and not even a ECF appearance.

Kyrie said he's happy KD got out of there. I guess it was horrible working conditions? These basketball players have it rough.
