Bullard heads to Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Hornets continued to retool their roster Monday by signing free-agent forward Matt Bullard.
Terms of the deal were not released, but after signing Bryce Drew and Stacey Augmon last month, the Hornets only had $4.5 million left in their mid-level salary cap exception.
Bullard became available Friday when the Houston Rockets renounced the rights to the 6-foot-10 forward.
Bullard is expected to help Charlotte with his long-range shooting. He averaged 5.8 points and 2.1 rebounds a game last season, while shooting 40.8 percent on 3-pointers in 61 games
