Chris Paul is such a douche and I hope he never wins anything of significance. Shame on the media for blowing this out of proportion. Kids shouldn't be touching (tapping?) others. Looks like they were kicked out for trying to bring people down to seats that weren't their own, and not due to anything related to the "touching" as that was not enough to even warrant being kicked out.

Icing on the cake is Paul threatening a kid. Fucking loser.

At this pace if we can get Kleber six more playoffs, he will shoot 100%

Thats how stats work

Nobody would have even known about it had Paul not tweeted to deflect from his shitty game.

And then quality guys like Tim Cato ask silly questions like, well if it was nothing, then why give them such a harsh ban? UH because it was already too late. Social media and media at large are too often the judge, jury, and executioner these days. Everyone just went along with some false narrative when it was just a teenager being dumb. I don't care that he was punished, but plenty of Suns fans and media acted like it was capital murder. Give me a f'in break.

I just hope the Mavs are the last ones laughing. F Paul and the Suns.

I agree with you aside from the ban. Seems fair given the fan will really only miss remaining playoff games, but that is more likely due to breaking arena rules then the "contact" itself. The kid who got escorted out brought friends down there and it seems his friends were the idiots. Gotta pay the price.

Plus the kid may be suffering from Affluenza. That is not his fault as it is a genetic condition passed on to the kids by the parents.

If we beat Phoenix in 7 what's to stop us from going to the Finals? Hold serve at home and hope the Luka has his 2020 Game 4 type performance e.g. 40 plus points, 15 assists and 15 plus rebounds. Go ahead and throw in a game 7 buzzer beater also..

The Mavs will have to come out in Game 6 with the same recipe that made them successful in Games 3 and 4: effort, grit, determination and the desire to stay alive.

Gosh, I know you're joking, but I despise that term and the judge who used it and set precedent for that idiot kid back in the day. Such a freaking cop-out and terrible ruling. I came from a decent background and never really had to worry about money. Maybe not millionaire status like that kids family but I still had a smarter head on me not to do that stupid shit, especially after drinking. That kid should still be behind bars.

But anyway! lol sorry for the rant

I remember that case. What a joke that was. Didn’t that kid flee to Mexico with his mom and get caught drinking down there or something?

Indeed, bunch of doofuses with affluenza. Runs in the family. The whole Mexico fiasco shoulda landed both in jail for longer sentences.

We just desperately need a multi tool big. Kleber still hasn't developed any post game. If you can't score on smalls or even Bridges within 8 feet of the bucket, you are very limited. Bigs that haven't learned to seal and make even basic post moves to get off a quality shot baffles me. We are close but we still need parts to complete the job vs any team making a legit run.

That said, I haven't been impressed with GS.

Alright...who is falling on the sword and starting the GDT? I mean, it's only the biggest game since 2011 so no pressure.

I'm tellin' ya, the Mavs are a halfway decent big man away from being really good and legit title contenders.

Also.... GAME 7!!!! HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Win or lose, this season and series has been a phenomenal, resounding success. I'm over the moon.

Watching some of the other teams, I know we are a decent big away but we still need another 2 way player who can dribble. Reggie and DFS can't really even drive thr ball late in the clock in 1v1 situations. They look to pass too often and possessions end with a long and often contested 3. I love when those support guys knock down 3s but we have extended scoring droughts because only JB, Luka and SD have potential to take their man off the dribble.

Surprisingly confident. Not sure why, but if feels like Mavs are going to shock the NBA pundit world in game 7.

I don't disagree, but how many teams actually have more than three ball handlers? I doubt it's very many.

I think the Mavs have already shocked the pundit world my making this even a six game series, let alone seven.

Seriously, honest to god, how many people in the entire basketball-watching world predicted this would be a seven game series, especially after the Suns were up 2-0? I certainly didn't.

I mean, ours are all PGs. Not one other positional player on our team can dribble, aside from Jgreen if you want to force that shoe on. Our natural SGs and SFs or guys with size can't dribble for shit. And our PFs and Centers can't dribble or work the block at all.

Luka and Brunson are also the best post players on the team.

Maybe so, but Luka is a point guard in a power forward's body. I feel like Luka being effing HUGE more or less makes up for Brunson being undersized. And Dinwiddie is the right size for a SG/SF.

Again though, I don't disagree with we need a wing who can handle the ball and score on their own. I was just making that observation that with if everything else on the roster was exactly the same, and we just had even a marginal upgrade at the 5, we'd be a 60-win team and legit title contender.

How yall other Mavs in 7ers feeling?
Was hoping we’d put ourselves in a position to steal this thing. Mission accomplished. The opportunity is certainly there now and this team seems to have the defense and mental toughness to take it. Just a matter now if they have the will and determination.

I feel like this team has matured a lot in this series.

Game 7 is going to be "Others or bust". If JB, Bullock, Dorian and Maxi are playing well, we have a chance. SD is due for another good game.

I think its time to give a little love to Nico.

No one was impressed by his off season dealings. Everybody said we had to have a big man and a ball handling wing who could get his own shot, and he got neither. All he got was Bullock and Brown, with Frank N a very late add at the end of training camp. But think about it. He was on Bullock's doorstep the minute free agency opened...that turned out to be a brilliant move. And look at some of the minutes we got from Frank playing defense against Booker. Very small Nico moves, but ones that had major influence on the ultimate success of this season.

Now, lets look at his big move. Trading Porzingis for 2 of the worst contracts in the NBA. But Spencer has helped. He hit a couple of game winners late in the season, and I don't think there is any way we win those Utah games without Luka if JB was our only dependable ball handler. And without Betrtans big game hitting 4 threes in game five against the Suns, the Mavs season would already be over.

But the biggest impact in dumping Porzingis is on the team. No longer does Kidd have to waste time figuring out how to get KP his shots, when Luka is clearly more effective in a five out type of offense. Its no mystery that Porzingis had some of his best games when Luka was out.

I'm hoping his success last year will help in recruiting this off season. Free agents can see what we are building here, with J Kidd's pro-player approach working where Carlisle 's "my way or the highway" style failed. But who knows? Maybe Nico has his eye on a couple of unwanted scrubs who will be enough to push us over the top.

I always loved the Frank pickup and thought he played solid even doing the regular season.

The Bullock pickup I really didn't have much to say I was just hoping he could add some defense that the Mavs missed fired on with D.Wright and J.Richardson. Early in the season it was looking like Bullock was headed down that same path, but he's really played solid since January and when THJ went down that IMO allowed the dude to settle in more.

The Brown pickup has turned out to be a bust but I just blame that on the Mavs once again going after a player just because he played well against them in a few games (Wright) LOL.

Dinwiddie was a guy that I wanted them to go after last summer. Having said I was not happy with the KP trade especially since in hindsight had they went after Dinwiddie in the Summer they could have potentially had both him and KP on the same roster already. The trade IMO was simply a salary cap move. I honestly don't expect either Bertans or Dinwiddie to be on the roster by the trade deadline next year. Bertans because he makes shots every 4th or 5th game. For that money you need a more reliable shooter IMO.

Dinwiddie has looked lost in the playoffs most nights, sure he's a few double digit games but overall the lack of defense and out of control drives to the rim might ultimately get him shipped out unless he goes on some kind of consistent run the 1st half of next season.

My ideal summer pickup would be Myles Turner and Brogdon both guys can play off ball and provide two way options at their position. I know some people will keep throwing it out there that Luka will attract FA's but I just don't but that anymore. It didn't work with Dirk and the Mavs built their rosters via trades not FA's

Must spread rep. These weren't sexy, exciting moves. But they were smart, savvy moves.

I'll take a little credit for being right about Nico. I hated the Kidd hire, but I liked the Nico hire. I'm a big believer in agents and executives for companies like Nike making good potential GMs. I think being a good GM has as much to do with your ability to ingratiate yourself with players and negotiate firmly with other GMs as it does with simply knowing basketball. Nico checked all the right boxes. Not only was he a respected Nike executive, but he is a former player himself.

Turner and Brogdon would be sick.. Agree on trades vs. FA with the Mavs - If we see Plan Dry Powder Part 3 I will kick someone in the groin. Am I missing a dry powder plan? Dry Powder 1 - saving money for Dwight Howard, Dry Powder 2 - saving money for Giannis (ironically the reason we didn't draft him because of DP 1).

I still feel like we have an 80-90% chance of losing tomorrow based on how this series has gone. I want to be wrong in the worst way imaginable, but I just can't see it unless we fire on every cylinder.

This is a career defining game for Luka. If we win, then he is IMO the undeniable best player in the NBA.
