The Elephant Man - beautifully tragic movie where 'Adagio for Strings' first took you to a solemn place .

Platoon - this is a compilation but the scene I thought most moving was the death of Alias. Again, 'Adagio for Strings' is used and intertwined in the minds of everyone who saw the movie.


I can and do listen to that score all the time and can never get tired of it. Just like the score of Hoosiers, Rudy, Forrest Gump, and Gladiator... I can not imagine Platoon without 'Adagio for Strings' to tell the untold part of the story.
