You have to be realistic here. Pujols is not even going to come close to breaking the record. Pitching has gotten better, especially in the NL. I think Castillo had a better chance of breaking it than Pujols does now.

Among Rose's numerous career landmarks were his NL record-tying 44-game hitting streak (1978) and his 1985 surpassing of Ty Cobb's record of 4191 career hits.
