well, i hate to say it, but the stars do need to go a bit of a different direction, bring in some young talent from somewhere that can put the puck in the net...also could use some size on their defensive lines

Link?
Btw, I think they should keep him. If scoring goals is your problem, then why take your best goal scorer off the team? I don't understand it .

6-7 million for a guy who's production dropped significantly after a hot start this past year.
i'm just saying i'd like to say an infusion of some young talent. unfortunately, it looks like it could cost them brett hull

He offered to take a pay cut to stay with the team.

It has very little to do with money IMO. Hull has too big of an ego to make the move to the third line and he's not talented enough anymore to be our big offensive threat.

He's still one of (if not the) best scorers on the team.

He disappears too much. Hull will score a bunch of goals in a clump, then go scoreless for a couple of weeks. We need consistent play, not erratic.

I'm not going to argue with you because I have very little hockey knowledge...but you make a good argument for someone who does.

Honestly, I'm a Stars fan and not a hockey fan. One of my best friends is a damn Yankee and he's the guy who understands the game and occasionally deigns to explain something to me.

That's cool...I don't know anything about hockey outside of the Stars.

He'll most likely be back. According to Hull and the team, this has been planned out for quite some time. They'll probably sign him for less money now.
