That explains the Spurs, but not the Suns.

This teams Motto ought to be "No Excuses". No point in making any, because nobody's buying. The Mavs didn't lose to GS because to injuries, they lost because they are soft, and because Dirk is Not Duncan. It is writ in stone and there is only one way to remove it.

Almost doesn't count. Think anyone outside of Dallas remembers we almost beat SA in '03, but Dirk couldn't play in game 6? No, they all say we lost because we are soft. Hey, we're going to Detroit... maybe Dirk should go after somebody in the stands. The only other way to erase the label is by winning in Detroit, in JUNE!

I imagine history is a big factor, but we all know teams change over time so the media should be smart enough to know these mavs in particular have a very different look than the past. A new coach, new system, and most importantly more experience together as a team has really helped them click. We don't see Cuban trading people away at the first sign of misfortune anymore (entertaining as it was) and now we can develop some chemistry. Hence that amazing run they had until the injuries piled up. I dont think history is fair to our current players. Like I said, the majority of these guys werent even with us in 03' now were they?

Since Detroits coming up would now be a good time to remind everyone that we won in a blowout game ending their unbeaten streak at the start of the season when they were scorching hot? Not to mention beating SA in the first encounter, and coming back down from 17 against PHX in our first gane of the season and winning in double OT. These are some serious accomplishments. We can play with the elite, those wins should have garnered instant respect.
