Devin or Josh?
Obviously both are very vital to this team, but if you could only pick one to be completely healthy while the other wouldn't play at all, in the playoffs, who would it be?

*knock on wood*
Josh, he's our starter...secondary or tertiary offensive threat. Rebounds, etc. Harris is good - defense, penetration, passing...but Howard's role on this team is much more critical. Almost a no-brainer.

Tough call. I voted Harris because he's best at penetrating. Not to mention his defense, passing, and the ability to run the team.

Tough call, but as long as Griffin's out, I'm gonna have to say Howard. We simply cannot do without a wingman to go up against the Ginobili's of the NBA.

Josh and it's not even close.
He was our best player against S.A. They couldn't guard him...they made their run when he want to the bench with foul trouble.
Plus aren't we undefeated when he scores 20?

Josh, best young SF in the league. Versatile and long, defense gets a lot better when he's in the game. Gotta nasty streak to him, too. Sorry, I like to talk.

Gosh, you should first assure the poll won't jinx the team....
JHo. Besides the reasons mentioned above by other posters, it's POs and JHo has more experience for starting last POs.

JHO - we need his defense, rebounding and hustle quite badly.

Tough call??how is that a tough call?Josh is putting stats DH can only dream of right now...
If Josh works on his ball handaling and pull up jumper,he'd be one of the meanest SF's in the league.... Devin is good, lots of potential, but right now it is truely a no brainer.
Josh is the side kick,Devin is the developing potential.

? Seattle in 03-04 Dirk had 41 I believe, Toine had a blind, turn around 3 from the corner to win it.
53 pts last season for Dirk, win
44 pts or so against Miami last season, win
That's off the top of my head. The only won I know we've lost is against the Warriors last night, which took a ridiculous shot to win it and some late in the game errors on our part.

I think they are both needed to win a championship. The matchups determine a lot of it though...
If Dallas draws the Clippers in the first round, I would actually prefer Josh to be healthy. But I think point guard play will be more important against teams like San Antonio and Phoenix.

I think that was said tongue in cheek considering Dirk's only topped 40 once this year. Same could be said of our record when Dirk posts the big five-o.
If Griff is there, it's a closer call. DH ripped SA apart in our first meeting, was it 8-of-8 in the 4thQ? Even then, I probably roll with JHo. Look at the number of minutes he logs.
He's part of the core, second to only Dirk, not just an important part. With Griff out, it's a slamdunk for JHo.

Actually, I think their stats would probably be pretty similar if Devin were starting. I think Josh is the second best player on the team, but to be totally honest, if Griffin weren't out, I'd rather be without Howard than Harris. The thing we miss the most from Josh right now is the defense on the opposition's wingman, which Griff can provide. But without Harris, we're stuck having to rely on DA for much of the night, which I just can't stand. Again, at this point I'd rather have J-Ho because Griff is out. If that weren't the case though, I'd rather have Harris in the lineup. So it is a tough call.

I like this poll, reminds me that we have a bright future ahead of us with these kids already pretty decent players while SA is composed of a LOT of age. I picked Josh but i'll be honest... when Artest was available I was really hoping we'd trade for him. Now we'll never know.

I say Harris because we are deeper in swingmen. we can start Quis, and have a 3 man 2 guard-3 rotation of Quis, Stack and Griff. That's ok. Having Terry, Quis and the Ancient one is not adquate for the playoffs at point guard. In the current injury riddled period, I miss Harris more. If we had Griff now, we'd miss Howard less.
But the smartest move of all is giving them all time to heal.

Gotta be josh, he just compliments dirk so well and he cleans up a lotta stuff. We have swingmen but really no one that plays much like a small forward imo, except griffin I guess.
