Just watched the Wang Zhi zhi news conference...
just wanted to say that he was very poorly translated and his real words were very humble and well spoken..he seems to have a great attitude so far and i'm excited at the prospect of seeing him play |

I'm pretty excited about seeing him play too! Personally, I hope he really impresses..kinda like how everyone was surprised by Najera earlier this season. It's about time an azn entered the league!

Everybody compaires his game to Dirk's. If Wang has half the game Dirk does I think i'll be happy. I'm not expecting too much from him.

And is his name Wang Zhi Zhi, or Zhi Zhi Wang? I noticed he had Wang on the back of his jersey which would mean his last name is Wang, right? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

I may be wrong, but I know some Chinese people who reversed their first and last names after coming to the US. I have no idea why though [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

I'm pretty sure his surname is Wang. Having only come to America a few days ago--and to play not to live--he (and the media) just continue to use the normal Chinese pattern.
