Default Mavs Links

Here a little choice of Mavs-related links from Mavericks Inside dish:

The Dallas Mavericks have greater Web presence than The Amazing Spider-Man between the skyscrapers of New York. To help you track your favorite team, Inside Dish has assembled a list of sites that will satisfy even the most insatiable Mavs fan.

MAVS.com
We're not going to claim the Mavericks have the best site in the NBA, because that would be bragging. It's not nice to brag. But the Mavericks definitely operate one of the top fan sites in the league. It's hard to keep up with all the innovation, promotions and information the Mavericks dish out online, every day. But mavs.com is definitely a fun resource to help you keep up with your favorite team.

FRIENDS.MAVS.com

This is a private social network set up by the Mavericks for die-hard MFFLers. At some point, this site could supplant Mavericks mania on myspace (see below).

MAVSWIKI.com

If you haven't heard of Wiki, you'd better catch up. Wiki has become the arch enemy of Encyclopedia Britannica salesmen. As Chris Rock might say when introduced to an old-fashioned cloth-bound encyclopedia, “They still make you?” Not for long. And for Mavs fans, Mavswiki is the historical source for Mavericks history as well as the spot for every Mavs fan in the world to weigh in with his or her two cents on current and historical team facts.

MAVGEAR.com

This commerce site has gone from mom-and-pop start-up in a Reunion Arena closet to the best online outlet for team gear in the NBA. It started in 2000 with four ridiculous Mavs-themed T-shirts and now boasts hundreds of products that range from toddler onesies to autographed pictures of Dirk Nowitzki and everything Mavericks in between.

MYSPACE.com/dallasmavericks1980
This is the official myspace site of the Dallas Mavericks. It's maintained by one of the greatest Mavs fans, in the universe, Stephen Chavera. Stevelicca has tattoos of the Mavericks logos on his arm. Old-school and the current Mavs logo share permanent space on his body. One word: “Dedication!” You definitely will get an eyeful of Steve's work if you are cruising myspace. His designs are stolen more than hotel towels.

MYSPACE.com/stack_42

Jerry Stackhouse's official myspace site includes Jerry's rendition of the National Anthem, sung before a Mavericks home game earlier this season. In our biased point of view, Stack's anthem ranks second in the history of professional sports. He ranks only behind Marvin Gaye's effort before the 1983 NBA All-Star Game. You can check it out Gaye's version at youtube.com, but trust me, it's the undisputable champion. And for those who will nominate Whitney Houston's performance at the 1991 Super Bowl: I agree, greatness, save one problem -- can you say Milli Vanilli? Lip-synced, baby. And yes, it does matter if the artist is singing live. Add our apologies to our main man and a great saxophone player, Joseph Vincelli.

MYSPACE.com/official_jasonterry

Of all the Mavericks (save Mark Cuban), Jason Terry is the guy who understands the power of the Web. He operates multiple sites and creates a great myspace presence with the help of Stevellica.

MYSPACE.com/official_dirk4MVP

Not that Mavericks fans have any say in the voting for the NBA's MVP, but this site is still a nice tribute from the fans to show their love and support for Dirk Nowitzki. Take a look, and send Dirk some love yourself.

MYSPACE.com/markcuban

Of course Mark Cuban maintains his own myspace page. He is the godfather of Internet communications. Let me promise you that if you get a reply from him on myspace or email, it is actually from him. Mark is an e-mail wizard.

MYSPACE.com/official_mavsdancers

Just check it out for yourself. Enough said.

MYSPACE.com/official_mavspatrol

Is imitation the greatest form of flattery? On myspace, it is. There are more Mavericks imposter sites on myspace than one person can keep up with, but Mavs Patrol tries its best. Mavs Patrol lets Mavs fans know who is perpetrating and what sites are the real deal. If you have questions about a site, Mavs Patrol probably has the answer.

41FAN.net

Dirk Nowitzki is one of the greatest NBA players in the universe. Although Dirk isn't interested in building his name into a multinational brand, like some NBA players, his excellence on the court just makes it happen. Dirk's official Web site is maintained by his brother-in-law, who has more access to Dirk than almost anyone. That makes for an interesting site. You can buy Dirk merchandise, too.

TEAMTAKEOFF.com

Seven months in the making, Jason Terry's clothing line finally hit the street Monday afternoon. The site features limited offerings at the moment, but what's available is pretty cool. Check it out and keep up-to-date with the Jason Terry Collection.

DEVIN-HARRIS.com

Devin Harris spends a lot of time answering questions on his site. He admits that the flow of mail can be a bit overwhelming, but has finally figured out the “Most Frequently Asked” question concept, which lightens the load a bit.

JERRYSTACKHOUSE.com

Stack's site has the most revealing pictures of any basketball player's site. He has great photographs from every aspect of his life. The site also includes a great history section that teaches you about every step of Stack's basketball life, from Pee-Wee leagues to the NBA.

BLOGMAVERICK.com

Mark Cuban's popular blog features opinions. And his blog proves it. Three years into this very active site, Mark comments on everything from his pet peeves on packaging of computer peripherals to his ongoing battle with Donald Trump. His P.O.V is always interesting. And if you don't have an opinion, maybe reading his will give you one of your own. Drop in, read some entries, and leave a comment to tell Mark what you think about his opinion.

GREGBUCKNERFOUNDATION.net

Buck's site features less information about Greg Buckner and more about his charity work with children. Buck shows just how much we can all help the world with a little attention paid to the children around us.

Would be nice if we could add some more Links, which are interesting for Mavs fans!
