Vista is the suck!
Actually I like it a good bit. It is by no means perfect, but I think it is a pretty damn good OS. Edit - It should be noted that I am running Vista Ultimate and if you are running Vista Home, well, you're stupid!

I should give a little back story. I have a buddy who is going over to Iraq for the second time. This time he wanted take a laptop, we couldn't find one without Vista on his budget. After hours of trying to convince the damn thing that it actually did have a DVD drive, and it constantly shutting itself down, we gave up and took it back. Long story short he had to deploy without a computer. SUCK.

If you bought a laptop that was bundled with Vista and it didn't recognize the DVD drive you either had a stupid Manufacturer problem or a hardware problem... neither of which would be Bill Gates problem.
But he is an easy target..... unrightfully so (at least lately).
