Default Dems to block any and all appointments by the president.

Boy those dems...sure are open minded aren't they. It used to be that they required that you be "well qualified" by the ABA, but when conservatives started getting that rating they had to change it.

Now this will get my dollars and money Janett.... Having more liberals on courts I am not interested in.

Guess there will be a lot of recess appointments or probably vacancies so folks can sit around and wait forever for a court-date, but that's never concerned the idealogues before.

New York Sen. Charles E. Schumer, a powerful member of the Democratic leadership, said Friday the Senate should not confirm another U.S. Supreme Court nominee under President Bush “except in extraordinary circumstances.”

“We should reverse the presumption of confirmation,” Schumer told the American Constitution Society convention in Washington. “The Supreme Court is dangerously out of balance. We cannot afford to see Justice Stevens replaced by another Roberts, or Justice Ginsburg by another Alito.”
Out of balance (by dem standards) is a 5-4 conservative court!!! Horrors...Oh Horrors.. These guys have gotten so used to having the courts legislate that they now thinks it's a birthright.

Default

After thinking about this some more this may actually work out great. With the new precedent that no opposing presidential judicial candidates shall be considered the republicans can just continue to block passage of any an all, no matter who is elected in '08.

Since the next two to retire are liberals, the republicans can enjoy a 5-2 advantage instead of a 5-4 one!

You go chuckie!!
