Mengke, the second Chinese player to join the NBA, spent last season with San Antonio and averaged less than one point and one rebound in 12 games. Since signing with Denver on Feb. 26, 2002, the 6-foot-11 Mongolian native has played in just 39 games. "Bateer is an established international player who hasn't had an opportunity to prove himself at the NBA level," Toronto general manager Glen Grunwald said. "We feel he can provide our team with needed size and strength in the middle." Mengke will be a backup on the front line behind Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams, Michael Bradley, Chris Bosh and Jerome Moiso. The Raptors signed Moiso and point guard Milt Palacio to two-year deals on Wednesday.

Yea but Moiso does. I wonder why they are racking up on Big Men over there? They have Bosh, Moiso, Jerome Williams, Mike Bradley and Antonio Davis.

Did Bateer get a championship ring last year with San Antonio?
If so, he's one up on the Dallas Mavericks. |

unfortunately, he was not even in the playoff roster. I remember seeing him watching longhorns practice.

So did john salley on the bench for the bulls, pistons and even the lakers. Speaking of free agents after kidd, oneal and payton this free agency class is overrated. I mean all of the clippers were a part o fa lottery team, brad miller hes alright but i swear the dude is raef lafrentz in the east, don't forget indiana melted down last season. Malone might have helped us but cubes said he wanted a center. And Zo I know hes a former defensive player of the league, but how many times has this guy gotten out of the first round a tad bit overrated. Lafrentz-Kandiman-Nesterovic all three are way overrated. Marc Jackson anyone? I am sorry but don't championship teams go through growing pains we are only into year four. |
