Just made it through the first four episodes of Life. Interesting main character hot supporting actress and an ongoing mystery thar sucked me in by the second episode. I'm going to see where this goes.

Judging by the numbers this season I wouldn't get too attached. Although they've stuck it on Friday nights, so maybe they're going to live with the poor ratings and stick with it for a while.

I miss when Friday nights = good TV
I wonder what the ratings were for shows on TGIF... those were a weekly tradition in my house growing up

Strahan was mildly amusing on Chuck last night.
I think the show needs a little more Casey and a little less Sarah. He can be quite funny.

I'm very, very close to kicking Heroes to the curb. I haven't seen the latest episode. If it sucks like the rest of the season has sucked, I'm out..

Not sure why Heroes wasn't on the curb to begin with.

I like the general idea of Heroes... but, dang, let's mix in some acting ability and some mediocre writing. Much like The 4400, the show had very little more than just the original idea...

Heroes is really struggling ratings wise. They've dropped significantly each week (numbers aren't out for this week yet).

It's going up against Dancing with the Stars, but that should have a pretty small cross-over audience, and aI think they went up against it last season too.

So is the general consensus that Heroes season 3 average at best? I watched Season 1, have Season 2 in my DVD queue and I'm recording season 3 now. I understand that Season 2 sucked but I was going to fight through it to get to Season 3. If 3 isn't much better I'd rather just bail out now.

It's Always Sunny In Philly - funniest show EVER.
Breaking Bad - excellent show if you haven't seen it; on AMC.
The Office
Dexter
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Mad Men's okay
Pushing Daisies - perfect for HD
True Blood

IMO, season 3 is well below average.
The storylines go nowhere, alot of the dialogue is just rehashed from the previous 2 seasons, and the "plot" (using that term loosely) has more holes than swiss cheese.
Its crap. Last night I begrudgingly left it on as background noise while I surfed the Internet.

Well I'm going to stick with Fringe. It's pretty well done....Heroes is making it look really good, and since I am convinced that Heroes and Chuck are headed for cancellation I need to grasp on to something else.

That scene where Walter was dancing around in his socks on the carpet during their conversation, and the revelation of what he was doing made me laugh really hard. That guy cracks me up.

I haven't seen Fringe yet.. but, it's been pretty decent so far.
I'm excited that House had a very, very good episode this week. It's been better this year.
Two and a Half Men is just flat out funny week in and week out.
CSI: Vegas had a solid first episode.. I actually teared up a bit during it.
Friday Night Lights was solid. I was worried about it with its move.
Chuck was solid. It's also good every week.

Yes. House was really great last night. I think I'd be willing to watch the show if House, Wilson and a car trip was the only plot.

I don't watch that show a ton, but I did last night. Slapping his keys out of his hand, or when he made him accelerate past the cop...or the clipping of the dead fathers ear...all priceless.

What would make you think Heroes is headed for cancellation? Is it tanking in the ratings?

Yes. I don't think they'll cancel it this year just because they seem to have so much invested in it, but if it continues it's downward spiral in the ratings every week like it has, I think it's in serious jeopardy for next year for sure.

My Own Worst Enemy looks kind of silly but it's been fairly well recieved by the critics so I think I'm going to give it a shot.
Prison Break is one of my shows that I never see mentioned here. It's been a good season I just hope I get to finish it.
Also watch Grey's Anatomy (no homo)

I was thinking about watching "My Own Worst Enemy" but Christian Slater's voice annoys me to no end. That and the fact that it's an hour-long chevy commerial really turned me away from it.

You should. Probably the best drama on TV. Just MHO, of course.

You know, I thought Fringe was kind of eh the first few weeks, but they totally hooked me with The Observer episode. I'm so totally in. That & The Mentalist are the only two new shows I'm still watching. Anyone watching anything else new?
I liked Heroes last week actually. But this week's really lost me. There are no consistent characterizations anymore...how are we supposed to care about anyone?

I found some time last night, somehow, to watch Pushing Daisies. I really like that show...it's just kind of fun. I love the private investigator guy (what's his name?) Everything he says is hilarious.

That show is just .... enjoyable. It's well acted... a good script... not remotely serious... just a good show.

honestly don't know what you guys are talking about. This season has been 5x better than last, and we've finally gotten to the build up of all the villains.
And this weeks episode was awesome.

But tell me this, what characters do you care about? What characters do you start every show wanting to see their story progress? There isn't a single character that I feel that way about anymore. There isn't a single character that I would be disapointed if they killed. And not just because no one they kill ever goes away. How are we supposed to be shocked when Hiro "kills" Ando when no one ever goes away?
