Mavs just have tired legs. I know everyone is tired, but the amount of minutes and reliance on 6 guys is D'Antoni-esque. Bullock missing every shot, Kleber no show, and Lukas D...they are obviously connected. As people mentioned, the shot chart says we win this game.

On top of that, we are outmatched. It is what it is. I just won't listen to some BS narrative that if Luka played better D, then we're off to the promise land. Such misguided takes will eventually send him to another team if echoed enough.

This is straight from Kidd.

Like I said before Luka is a phenomenal talent but as mavs fans we should all be honest and state he does need to work on being better defensively or else teams will continue to attack him in the playoffs.

Jason Kidd said that Luka Doncic has to evolve and to defend. He said the model for Luka is LeBron James who controls the game at both ends.

Kidd said Luka is trying to trend away from being “Harden” and the goal is to be LeBron.

An actually fit and lighter Luka would be 50% better on D just from an endurance and quickness standpoint

Teams will always attack the opposing team's best player because of their usage rate. It's just common sense. And Luka will never be prime Lebron on defense. Building those expectations is unreasonable.

Luka hasn't been good at D this series, but it's not the deciding factor at all. And if that calf injury hadn't happened, then we might not even be talking about this.
