Default Good grief hutchinson has thrown 3 td's.

Who woulda' thought it. Hutch with 3 tds, and only 1 fumble (). Chicago leading minnesota...minnesota really tanks every year don't they.

Ya think maybe we put too much pressure on our qbs here in Dallas? I mean, our qbs have a lot to live up to. That could force them to go into games more nervous than they should be and make mistakes easily. Now that Hutch has been put in Chicago he isn't expected to put up fantastic numbers and can focus a bit more while in the pocket. Then again I guess that's a bad thing cause there will be a lot of pressure on anyone in the superbowl and depending on how they handle it will label them greatness or horrible. I guess everyone needs to learn sometime though.

Maybe we do, and probably it's so tough of a position that it's really hard to gauge it. Hutch didn't do much here, didn't do much in europe and was on his rear-end for what two months before coming in and flinging. Also it does look like the bears helped a whole bunch today with their defense.

good for hutch....

Parcells just hated Hutchinson. It had nothing to do with ability or any other thing like that. Parcells purposely timed cutting him so that he couldn't go to training camp with another team. That's why he hasn't played until now. Between Jones rushing him and Parcells ridiculing him he has certainly demonstrated some resiliance. That said, one good game doesn't make him a good qb. However, he is certainly better than what they threw out there against the Cows. He needs confidence and good coaching. Something he has never had.

Comparison: Parcells and Nelson: Are they both over the hill?

Chuch is just going to work, doing what he does. Too bad the Cowboys didn't have the patience needed to develop him. He looks like he's well on his way to becoming a star QB for the bears. Good job Chad!

What ever works for Chad. Props to him. I beated him down here but he came into a horrible situation and it looks like the Cowboys are starting to repeat this same situation with Henson. I'm starting to believe we aren't going to ever develop a quarterback here. Our best bet is to sign Drew Brees who hopefully isn't having a fluke year.

This is why the Cowboys didn't plan to play Henson this season.

Hey, if Drew Hensen had the kind of day Chad Hutchison had in his first game, all we'd hear about in the local media would be how this guy is the next Aikman. I'm sure that folks in Chicago are having similar reaction. I don't know whether Hutch can pull together a season full of games like he had in his first game as a Bear, but if he does, he'll be the best quarterback Chicago has had in maybe fifty years. Of course, that's extremely unlikely. But in his first game, Hutch has done nothing to dash the hopes of Bears fans that in the future, all starting quarterbacks will be measured first against Blanda, and then against Chad Hutchison.

Hey, what about Cade McNown ?

Chicago Bears
Most yards rushing by a Chicago QB in 27 years (87 yards rushing vs. Vikings on 9/3/00).
First Bears rookie to throw for 300 hundred yards in a game (301 yards vs. Detroit Lions).
Bears rookie record for completions (127).
Bears rookie record for passing attempts (235).
One of only three rookie QBs in the 90’s to throw four TDs in one game (Bledsoe, Plummer).
Ranks second only to Jim McMahon in passing yards and touchdowns for a rookie.
Became only fifth rookie starting quarterback for Chicago since 1975.

Even though he did so well, people usually don't think too highly of him.

Yes, Chad Hutchison must surpass the greatmess of Cade McNown if he is to become the best Bears QB of the last half decade.
