Well, it is hard to be optimistic about this game. Back to backs are tough. But when your team can barely score 90 on the first night of a back to back....

It's customary on the second day of a b2b they don't have a shootaround.
Unfortunately, I have to work for a living haha and that keeps the bills in check so when I'm not working, I am working on this stuff....but there has not been any updates as of today.

I don't think Dirk plays today, love to be surprised though, sounds like he is optimistic to play on this road trip tho

I am just wondering from a test drive perspective, let's say Dirk feels like he can go but you want to be cautious:
Do you play him tonight, rest, play Detroit, rest and then LA?
Play tonight, rest, rest against Detroit, rest and then LA?
Rest tonight, rest, Play against Detroit, rest and then LA?
Let the man go wild and play everything.

Dirk should not play until he is 100%...end of story no matter the record...

i'd rest dirk until 100% regardless of who we are facing.
i don't care about the lakers. dirk should sit in LA if he sits vs Mem & Det. just my opinion.
we know we suck without him. would it be better to save face now and lose him in the playoffs?

Dirk Nowitzki is active and will make his return tonight in Memphis vs. the Grizzlies. Tyson Chandler is out due to an illness, Haywood will start in his place.

This is the second game of the year that Chandler has missed for the Mavericks. He also missed the game against the Golden State Warriors on December 7th due to a stomach bug; Chandler has yet to miss a game this year due to injury.

Even so, his rust is still 1000X better than The Janitor and Ajinca playing.....

I'm guessing Jason Terry was the happiest to hear about the news about Dirk.

Kidd, Stevenson, Marion, DIRK & HAYWOOD as the starters. 9th different lineup this season, Mavs 2-0 last year w/ that lineup.

If Jet sucks it up tonight, as fans we have no more excuses for him. I truly hope he shows up... and before the 4th Q.

This is the best wing defensive lineup you can have in the league, just saying.

An unbeaten line-up is just what we need to stop the losing ways. GO MAVS!

Memphis announcers look like they sound annoying.

Understand it but don't like that Dirk is wearing a brace. Is he really 100%?

keep an eye on Dirk's scoring... he's 3 points away from taking #24 on the all time scoring spot from Payton

Premature methinks. Just hoping Dirk is moving alright.

Nope! And, I don't agree with allowing him to play; bad call by somebody.
