We are already discussing it on other threads, so I thought I would start the official thread.
This is an important game. Not so much for the series, as the Mavs only have to win 1 of the next 3 games to win the series, but in terms of what it will tell us about the Mavs mindset.
In the first two games, the Mavs have established that when they are focused and playing their game there is no way Minnesota can beat them. But now they are going into Minnesota with a two game cushion. As I said on another thread, whatever criticism you might level at KG, lack of heart is not one of them. Backs to the wall, in front of their home crowd, Minnesota is going to come to play. So the question is whether the Mavs have the full championship mindset or not. Do they come out and put this series away or do they relax a little and let Minnesota steal one?
I think the Mavs have the proper mental toughness. Prediction: T-wolves scrap hard and lead for much of the 1st half, but the Mavs take control in the 3rd and 6 playoff exits will drag Minnesota down as the Mavs cruise to a finish.
Mavs 108
T-wolves 95

kg might not lack heart..but if the wolves get down in the first half.. i can see the rest of the team giving up.. and kg can't keep them in the game by himself..it's not his game
if the mavs get up early, the game will be finished

I'm predicting an early T-Wolves lead and a late 3rd/4th quarter rally by the Mavs that falls just short. Mavs in 4.

Just some curious thing ...
To win a series in the west it´s actually not important to rebound well:
3 out of 4 top 4 western teams trail in team rebounding

so lets say we´ll either lose the battle on the floor or on the boards tomorrow, not both

As much as I want the Mavs to get the sweep, I don't think they will.
I do believe they come to play and do their best, but the refs will make things too difficult in the end and the Wolves will stay alive.
I don't think it comes back to Dallas though.
Go Mavs!

All of the games played today have 2-0 series records. The Lakers, the Mavs, and the Celtics are all up 2-0. I predict two out of three will lose to go to 2-1.
Blazers over the Lekers 102-99
Sixers 97-95 over the Celts
Mavs sweep the twolves 109-104

Well, we've got Costas calling the game for us. Not sure yet if that is good or bad.

Mavs can be the first team to close out a series in this postseason. Boston lost its chance a few minutes ago. Detriot lost its chance last night.

Funny line by Costas..."Raef has taken over starting center from Bradley. Bradley is as invisible as a man 7 feet tall can be."

Getting a few bounces too. We should not have got that 3 by Raef....
Actually we are leading by a lot... still wish we would be driving more.

dirk is playing pretty good right now..
with dirk's ability to drive, post up..and hit the open jumper, he will one day be the top 1-2 offensive guy in the nba..
