Wudge ya think
Dallas trades: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 2.0 apg in 14.7 minutes)
PF Antoine Walker (15.9 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 5.4 apg in 38.0 minutes)
Dallas receives: PF Tom Gugliotta (2.4 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 10.7 minutes)
PF Pau Gasol (17.4 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 2.6 apg in 32.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +0.4 ppg, -0.6 rpg, and -4.0 apg.
Phoenix trades: PF Amare Stoudemire (16.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in 33.5 minutes)
PF Tom Gugliotta (2.4 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 10.7 minutes)
Phoenix receives: PF Antoine Walker (15.9 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 5.4 apg in 46 games)
Change in team outlook: -2.5 ppg, -0.9 rpg, and +3.5 apg.
Memphis trades: PF Pau Gasol (17.4 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 2.6 apg in 32.2 minutes)
Memphis receives: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 2.0 apg in 40 games)
PF Amare Stoudemire (16.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in 23 games)
Change in team outlook: +2.1 ppg, +1.5 rpg, and +0.5 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
Why would Phoenix do it? I don't know
Why would Memphis do it? Better LT contract & Defensive Player
Why Would Dallas do it? Gasol is 7 ft who is a terrific inside player and who can draw fouls. Something the mavs need. He might not be a good defender but with dirk at 7 ft and Gasol at 7ft and bradley at 7'10 then who knows.

RE:Wudge ya think
why dont we just trade Best and Walker for Stoudamire if we could do that? We already have Dirk Nowitzki
Tom Gugliotta is the worst player compared to his salary in the NBA right now.
We already have Fortson and TAW for whoppers. I would only take on another whopper contract if we could get Stoudamire.

The only way this would ever happen is if Nellie agreed to coach the Suns, and had to bring his Point Forward with him.

Exactly, if Phoenix will give up Stoudemire for Walker then why would the Mavs want Gasol?

HORRIBLE TRADE FOR PHX
First of all stoudamire is a better player than walker and his contract is friendlier. And Guggs has one of the best contracts in the NBA cuz its coming off the books

RE:Wudge ya think
Long term this might work for the Mavs, but we could kiss this season good bye. Trading Best our backup PG and Walker would deprive us of a proven backup for Nash. I don't think steve could hold up to playing40+ minutes night in and night out and without a decent replacement we'd be in trouble when he sat. Walker for Gasol would be a steal IMO as would Walker for Amare. I can't for the life of me think why Phoenix would do anything similar to this trade though.

RE:Wudge ya think
Just no way i give san antonio a proven scorer like jamison. As for Gasol hes still a young player and a proven post scorer. Walker for Gasol has to be close considering Walker's overall game. But Walker for Stoudamire no way the kid is only 20. Stoudamire is the team's franchise.

RE: Wudge ya think
Big 4-team 10-player trades arent gonna happen in the middle of a season. They are almost as unlikely in the off-season, but this time of year they would cause huge chaos on every team.
