Croshere for Malik Rose?

Contracts are basically even, but Malik's has two more years on it.

New York would do it to get the expiring contract of Croshere.
Dallas might do it for the energy play of Malik ? ? ? ? ? He also played with AJ in SA.

Not sure it is the answer, just a thought.


Thoughts, good or bad?

I'm still trying my hardest to not rip into Croshere and call him a big worthless elephant dropping.

I'm gonna try to give him 25 games before I do that....maybe 20....or 15

Why trade Croshere for a different back-up power forward?
Croshere is here to give Dirk his rest, and he will do just that...And remember, Croshere does have an offensive game. He can shoot the 3 and drive. Also, he's an excellent free throw shooter. No one has heard of anything involving Malik Rose in two years...

Seems to me that just about all cro has been doing IS shooting the three. If he starts driving, okay. But as of now, we really miss keith.

I would do the deal. The Mavs need toughness inside. Rose does have a little bit of a post game. The mavs have enough guys on the bench who can shoot the three.

I wouldn't do it. The Mavs have Devean George for more toughness in the paint. Dallas actually does need another 3 point shooter. Dallas only has two good ones- Dirk and Terry. Josh Howard is looking like he might emerge as a significant shooter as well. But, after that, then you are looking at Stackhouse and Croshere.

So, the Mavs need Croshere more than a Malik Rose type player.
Now, if you find a low post scoring threat that forces defenses to hug to the paint out of fear (Neither Rose or Croshere is that), then Dallas might trade...

Besides, we don't really know what we have in Pops yet. Probably too skinny right now.
