Just a question... Would you actually consider Jordan a "big fish"? I think the answer is probably "yes" mainly because of his age and defensive abilities... But, well, it'll be interesting to see how he develops offensively.

He's the best center in the league right now.

I have him third after Marc Gasol and Cousins. Although, not a huge fan of Cousins, I guess you could convince me that he is the second best. Howard though... Played extremely well in the playoffs. I don't know, Jordan is the fourth best at worst.

Not quite, but that still wouldn't be saying all that much.

When it's the last years of Dirk. It says a whole lot. Especially Jordan choosing the contract Dallas offered.

What I was getting at is that saying he's among the best centers in the NBA isn't really saying that much right now considering how bad a state the position is in right now. But obviously a tremendous signing.

Would you consider him the biggest FA this team has ever signed?
Considering Parsons supposed influence I'd say he might actually be the best FA we ever signed.
Funny how much of an effect the initials CP had on this deal if it goes through. One CP pulled him to us and the other CP virtually drove him to us.

Saying he's the best FA the Mavs have ever signed is about like saying Bruce Jenner is the hottest celebrity 60 something year old whatever the hell he/she is...

Agreed that the answer is a probably yes.
But can we all at least agree that if the Mavs end up acquiring Wes Matthews, DeAndre Jordan, and at PG somebody like Lin, Mo Williams, or Cory Joseph...then the offseason has to be declared a dramatic success for the Mavs' front office? Obviously nobody can predict the future. But we swung for the fences and the ball may have shot off the bat in a hurry here.
