Default Are you Black Friday shopping this year?...whatcha gettin?
Been BF shopping since the 90's...last year I found a 52" Samsung 1080p LCD from Frys for under $1k

This year im looking for these 3 things:

1. Laptop for under $350.... for my niece
2. PS3 Move bundle $399 hopefully and gift card...for my nephew
3. Xbox Kinect bundle $299 hopefully with a gift card....for my daughter
4. Everybody else getting stocking stuffers


This year not really looking to get out in the cold and stand in lines...would prefer to purchase online such as Amazon

Didn't jump on a 50" plasma earlier this month for 499, now regretting it. I am waiting for a similar deal..... though less for a 46" would be fine, as long as it is Plasma (it's the only way I roll).

But I'm not going out on Black Friday. I'll do all of my shopping online.

Though I always neglect to check their Black Friday forums.

Historically (well, from the last 2 years on at least) TV's have hit their lowest price in December and January surprisingly. So I still have hope.

Either you make some serious cash or you don't have much family... My nieces and nephews mainly either get an inexpensive toy or a hug for Christmas.

Xmas bonus and yes I have a family, wife and daughter

My niece is about to graduate high school so this would serve as both a xmas gift in addition to a graduation present.

Im just tired of my nephew coming to my house to play my PS3...figured I would buy a new one and give him my old one, that way he can stay at home.

My daughter is just a spoiled pre-teen!

No one else under 18 in my immediate family, so thats it as far as kids...adults will get something small....my grandmother always told me that Xmas is for kids 18 and under, which was a good excuse to stop giving me gifts when I turned 18

Ok random question but it has to do with "shopping" so i'll post in here (no need for a new thread). Ok well i need a new tv and i'm being cheap about it, im trying to keep it under $500. I was browsing through walmart and im kinda conflicted whether i should buy a big tv thats a cheap brand or a good brand tv but smaller. What do you guys think?

I keep hearing that the deals really won't be that different based on Friday and Monday.

I tend to think the answer is to jump on a deal when you find it...and don't look back.

Hey, Target is going to have a 40" 1080p Westinghouse for $298 on black friday.

I have a 36" westinghouse i got from Best Buy like 4 years ago, and it has been wonderful. No issues whatsoever, and the picture is great.

I don't know much about the specific model target is selling, but I have had a great westinghouse experience and wanted to throw that out there for you.

Agreed. Plasma is my favorite but I didn't bother trying to one on Black Friday. I ended up getting the Panasonic TC-P42G25 from Amazon with a free soundbar and wireless subwoofer.
