Default Points in the paint

The Mavericks have held the last 4 opponants to 34, 36, 22, and 20 points in the paint. That is excellent and a flow consistant with the building continuity of having players back.

The points in the paint is a really important number to watch and the last couple of games have seemed like the Mavs are committed to not allowing it and letting teams take jumpers. It's been paying off.

If the Suns make it to the Mavs this is how you beat them. They WANT the gravy in the paint first. Out-right deny everyone but Amare and force them into jumpers. Those take time to set up and they don't like that. Once they stop falling they will completely ignore the arc on offense.

I've watched them a lot and this is what they do when you don't let them have their gravy in the paint... it's a chain reaction.
