Grizzlies Trade Darko Milicic To Knicks For Quentin Richardson
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...tin-richardson
by Andy Auger (Analyst)
ESPN has just reported during the NBA draft broadcast that, trade, The Memphis Grizzles have traded C/F Darko Milicic, to the New York Knicks for G Quentin Richardson. A swap of two underwhelming players.
The Knicks have not had a cornerstone, franchise type, big man for awhile now, but Eddy Curry seemed to fit the bill. He simply has yet to blossom.
Milicic gives the Knicks an inside presence with some potential upside at only twenty four years old.
He is probably best remembered for being picked directly behind LeBron James at number two and ahead of perennial all stars Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.
Both contracts are expiring next season, so it was more of a change in scenery swap then a cost cutting move.
The Knicks are doing what they can to have lots of cap room so they can go on a spending spree during the much anticipated, free agent summer of 2010 when stars like LeBron James, can opt out of their contracts and hit the open market.

Clippers Acquire Quentin Richardson From Memphis in Exchange for Zach Randolph
http://www.nba.com/clippers/news/bre...ews090717.html
Friday, July 17, 2009

The Los Angeles Clippers today acquired guard/forward Quentin Richardson from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for forward Zach Randolph.

Richardson, who averaged 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 26.3 minutes in 72 games with the Knicks in 2008-09, is returning to Los Angeles where he played four successful seasons with the Clippers from 2000-01 to 2003-04 after being drafted with the 18th pick of the 2000 NBA Draft out of DePaul.

One of the most popular Clippers players of all-time during his first stint in Los Angeles, the 29-year old Richardson has played for three NBA teams (Clippers, Phoenix, New York) and was acquired by the Memphis Grizzlies on June 25, 2009 in exchange for Darko Milicic.

The 6-foot-6 Richardson enjoyed his strongest NBA season in 2003-04 with the Clippers when he appeared in 65 contests, making 64 starts while averaging a career-high 17.2 points and 6.4 rebounds. Richardson moved to the Phoenix Suns as a free agent in 2004-05 where he led the NBA in three-point field goals, won the 2005 Three-Point Shootout at All-Star Weekend and helped Phoenix to the Western Conference Finals before joining the New York Knicks in 2005-06.

A former Conference USA Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American at DePaul, Richardson has enjoyed a 601 game NBA career, with the Chicago native averaging 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 39.8 percent from the field in 26.8 minutes.

The Clippers acquired Randolph in a trade with the New York Knicks on Nov. 21, 2008 and the power forward finished the season as the Clippers leading scorer, averaging 20.8 points and 10.1 rebounds in 50 games.

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ar..._this_summer/#

Monday, July 20, 2009; 11:17 PM

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Los Angeles Clippers have traded forward Quentin Richardson to the Minnesota Timberwolves for guard Sebastian Telfair and forwards Craig Smith and Mark Madsen, the NBA team announced on Monday.

"This move really gives some much needed depth," Clippers general manager and coach Mike Dunleavy said on the team's website (www.nba.com/clippers).

Telfair, a five-year NBA veteran, averaged 9.8 points and 4.6 assists with the Timberwolves last year. Smith scored 10.1 points per game and Madsen added 2.2 points while playing a reserve role.

Richardson was reacquired by Clippers in a trade with Memphis on Friday. He averaged 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds with the New York Knicks last season before being traded to Memphis in the off-season.

"This move provides us additional flexibility as we continue to reshape our roster into one positioned for long-term success," David Kahn, the Timberwolves president of basketball operations, said on the team's website (www.nba.com/timberwolves).

Wolves Send Richardson To Heat
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slu...yhoo&type=lgns

Quentin Richardson has been traded for the fourth time this summer.

The Timberwolves have dealt Richardson to the Heat in exchange for forward Mark Blount, two sources told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday night.

Miami is expected to play Richardson a considerable amount, while enjoying the relief of his expiring $9.35 million contract.

After playing last season in New York, Richardson has moved to Memphis, the L.A. Clippers, Minnesota and now Miami.

Richardson Hopes 4th Trade Sticks
AKA I'm not hot anymore-- you can stop tossing me about
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ar..._trade_sticks/

Quentin Richardson has been traded four times this offseason, with the latest deal landing him with the Heat.

Richardson is expected remain in Miami after being dealt from New York, Memphis, Los Angeles and Minnesota in the last two months.

He is excited to play alongside Dwyane Wade, as both came out of Chicago.

"We would always talk about it," Richardson said, according to the Miami Herald. "It's exciting to be playing together for the first time in our careers."

Richardson, a nine-year veteran that has played for three teams, didn't foresee being involved in so many trades this summer.

"You couldn't have predicted at the beginning of the summer I would be traded this many times," said Richardson. "That's just how the chips fall."
