Silly question, How do I post italics?

Ok, I see the icon, I type or past my text highlight and click Italics and nothing. I am sure I'm missing something obvious, but could someone explain how it is done.

Click on the "I" above the message screen. Type in your post and hit ok.

you will see something like this...
{I}words go here{/I} except the {} will be []

then hit post.

b]bold[/b - just put a [ in front of the first b and a ] after the last b


italics

i]italics[/i - just put a [ in front of the first i and a ] after the last i
