Look at the scores... Detroit...Cincinnati... Kansas City? .... There is some weird ass crap going on today that doesn't make one bit of sense. The Cowboys could get in on some of that action.

I'm very happy that basketball season has started, because it reduces my interest level for football to the point that I'm not that concerned about the pounding I'm about to watch.

Wow. This is the 1st time in a long time I see no one has faith in the Cowboys. Not even the fans. I'm still optimistic. This is the NFL and its a rivalry game. When was the last time you saw a beating in a rivalry game regardless of injury? (See Jason Campbell and McNabb who both have been hurt) Cowboys need this win. I don't care if they think they can win out. They need this win today and have a chance to get it.

There is a difference between optimistic and realistic. That first drive really didn't help team optimistic. I'd like to think the Cowboys have a shot, but I think it's not that great of a chance.

Dtown, I get what you are saying in a sense, but at the same time we are playing a Giants team that is firing on all cylinders. The biggest problem is that we have a shaky defense that often gets by because the offense rescues them. But when Brad Johnson and Felix's injury has turned our offense completely one dimensional - pounding it with Barber. The Giants defense is just too good to go at with one-dimension, and the pass rush is just too good to let Brad ever develop a rhythm. I agree with everyone else. This thing is going to be ugly.
I wish Witten wasn't playing. Just let the injury heal man, this game is a lost cause.

I wonder what Barber's ypc is since Brad Johnson has been at the helm. I get the feeling that would be an incredibly telling stat.

Seriously Barber can't run these days. And I don't really think it's really Barber's fault at all, our o-line has been underachieving and teams just don't fear the passing game at all with Johnson in there.

That fact they said about the Giants D vs Gore (11 carries 11 yards) with Barber w/Johnson as his QB is a scary thought today. They can't afford to give up another TD on this drive.

When Brad Johnson is your starting quarterback and he can't throw the football, then you aren't going to win. And Dallas's defense is pretty horrendous.

I'd say the only chance we have to win this game is if our defense can get some turnovers, and either the defense or special teams can score a td somehow.

I just don't think the Giants defense is as good as their stats indicate. I think there secondary is average at best. The pass rush can be hell but if I remember correctly didn't we contain them pretty good last year with Tuck, Strahan and Osi?

It isn't that the Giants defense is that bad. It is that Brad Johnson is that bad.
And Dallas f's themselves more than any team in the league. They had a chance for points if the dumb@ss stays put on the kick.

I was about to post that it looks like the Cowboys have a decent shot here, and then Brad Johnson happened.

Depends on which games you are talking about. In the regular season? Sure. In the playoffs? In my opinion, the single reason we lost really was the inability to control the Giants pass rush.
Our line is struggling right now it seems. I don't think they can really keep someone as immobile as johnson protected as he needs to be against a really good pass rush.

Your secondary can be average if your front 4/7 is pretty dang stout and constantly create pressure.
That was an amazing catch by Roy and then Brad screws it up, luckily they saved the TD, but one might be on the way. If they get it, that front 4/7 is going to pin their ears back and bring it all the way.

Well the little optimism I had is slowly leaving. If we can hold them to 3 that would be a blessing.

This can get ugly. I guess the Bucc's game was fool's gold. We're right back to where we were 2 weeks ago.

I'm just glad we won last week. 5-4 looks a lot better than 4-5 going into the bye, and we should be getting back a good chunk of our injured players back by the next game. So I have a hard time letting this game get to me.

It sucks to have such a talented bunch of weapons to throw to, and a quarterback who couldn't hit them to save his life.

Man that golf range is looking awfully tempting. I swear, I blinked and missed that entire Cowboys possession. WTF?

The Mavs commercial will probably be the 2nd best highlight of the game today. That Roy catch was pretty sweet and takes top honors right now.

I don't know....I think the Giants aren't nearly as good as their soon to be record. Their remaining schedule is a real bitch too. Dallas will get extremely healthy at the right time. Anything can happen.

That commercial was practically a replay of the first possession... "Wow, look at that pass, what a great catch!
WOW... okay......... lol... Let's go practice."

Even though this is the type of break we needed, I'm still betting there a good shot we don't come away with 7 points here. Behold, the power of Brad!
