Colengelo is out. Sounds like there was some truth to the multiple Twitter accounts.

I would love it so much when Lebron signs with the Lakers. Lavar tells the entire world nonstop that Lebron wanted to play with Lonzo so much and three days later GM Lebron trade Lonzos ass to Charlotte or Toronto

Sad. I wanted him here as an assistant, but I think he's moved on from those days.

Warriors and Pelicans wouldn't be counted here.

Tim Coliwshaw was just in the radio saying if Lebron goes to LAL with another star (Paul george) he think you could see Lilliard end up in LA with them. Thought that was interesting. Haven't seen Dame brought up in trade talks, but I can see them trading him for some of LAL young talent.

Ball and Ingram might be too much. Ball and Kuzma not enough? To me, to get Dame you’d have to have Ingram included. Ball would cover for some of CJ defensive deficiency. What if Portland doesn’t like Ball? Maybe a 3rd team? Portland would have the leverage so they could ask for Ingram and Kuzma?

I guess is still fits here since the new league year does not begin until July 1st...
@ShamsCharania: Kawhi Leonard wants out from the San Antonio Spurs, league sources tell Yahoo.
@ShamsCharania: Leonard has grown uncomfortable with the Spurs and is ready for move, league sources tell Yahoo.

Boo to Kawhi. This reeks of him creating a controversy to get what he wants. As many Spurs haters as we have around here they are the epitome of doing things the right way. It just seems like Kawhi allowed his relative to get involved and things went sour

Spurs are toast, they wont get not even close to fair value because of the 2019 FA. They have to thread him as a potential one year rental

@ChrisBHaynes: Kawhi Leonard isn't concerned about missing out on the supermax, sources tell ESPN. There's a feeling of betrayal that at this juncture, appears irreparable.

Lakers are going to offer Ingram+Kuzma+Hart+First+Deng. Kawhi threatens to sign in 2019 as UFA with the Lakers or Clippers and destroys with this his trade value for the Celtics or Philly. Ingram+Kuzma is a pretty good deal for the Spurs in such a shitty dangerous situation.
With begin of the FA the Lakers have Kawhi (20m), Ball (7m), Randle (13m cap hold),other cap holds 5m and Lebron and George share the 60m left in cap. They match Randles RFA offer (or offer themself a solid contract). After that they trade Ball for Kemba. in 2019 Kemba and Kawhi get their big new contracts and the Lakers laugh about the luxtax bill...
Kemba
Kawhi
George
Lebron
Randle
Yep, this is happening...

Woj: Charlotte is finalizing a deal to send Dwight Howard to the Brooklyn Nets for Timofey Mozgov, league sources tell ESPN. Nets will save $17M on deal in 2019-20 season, allowing them to create two max salary slots.

Traded Mozgov’s 2/32mill and two second rounders for Howard’s 1/23mill
Howard has some value, but it mostly looks like they paid two second rounders to clear 16 mill in space for next summer
Wonder what that says about the value of taking on bad contracts

Why on earth would Charlotte do that deal? Maybe Howard is just that big of a cancer to a team.

It's weird how we were desperate to ink Dampier to a major contract because getting a center that could average a double double was essential for success.
Howard puts up 17-13-2 and he's filler in a trade about salary cap and luxury tax

Can't be mud feet in today's league, but those stats also didn't help his team win. Howard hasn't helped his team win since his Orlando days.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver understands how some fans are upset that Kevin Durant was able to sign with an already loaded team, but he gives the Golden State Warriors credit for working within the rules to make it happen.
That doesn't mean Silver isn't already thinking about tweaks that can be made in the next collective bargaining agreement to make the NBA a more level playing field.

Just name it the "Kevin Durant" rule Hope he never cracks the Top-20 all time. Dude doesn't deserve it no matter how many rings he'll get. A new rule "preventing" super teams would definitely put his move into an unique (bad) light historically.

Giving people credit for things they’re supposed to do?
Cue my Homer Simpson voice, “... that’s the American way!”

Watch him go to GS.
