My point is he's not a guard. Donnie even said he's a small forward. If they play him at 2 then that's part of their problem. The trade was great but we still don't have a guard. Get my point? We don't have a guard that can score. Caron is not a guard.

How many negative plays in a row does a guy have to make before you realize it's just not the guy's night?
it's like when Bradley was here, you could tell within the first 5 minutes if he was going to be worthless or not - without fail.

I don't know how anyone can blame Barea for how we played tonight, we sucked. I think we'll be fine though in the near future, calm down folks things will be alright.

And if Barea continued that trend, he would be -24 in 31 minutes. So yeah he was much worse than Butler even though Butler had a really bad game for his standard.

glad that lasted long you dumb ***t
Besides Rick not knowing what the heck he is doing with this team, this loss didn't have to many frusturating things. I'm going to wait at least 5 games before getting upset.

Hah, amazing, so if I come in and play one minute of NBA basketball and block one shot, will I then have a 48 blocks per48 stat? Keep it in perspective.

I'd rather live with Roddy's mistakes and allow him to grow as a player then live with Barea's mistakes that will do nothing to advance the Mavs.....

How much better would this team be if Roddy was just given 20 minutes per games? He is a freak of nature and yet can't get in the ball game. Also Barea's +/- stats could've looked worse if Kidd wasn't so poor as well. This team needs a point guard since Beaubois isn't playing.

Damp is staying in OKC to have surgery on an "open dislocation" of one of his fingers. No timetable is set for his return.

Looks like we're in trouble.
PS- Why stay in OK to get the surgery? I know we should trust doctors to do the right thing, but I would feel more comfortable if he got the surgery in Dallas.

Hand surgery meanwhile is routine, normally not a big deal and you don´t need a hand-specialist. That the dislocation is "open" doesn´t mean necessarily that the injury is more severe.

this is kind of what i was wondering about the whole trade...they just have two 3s now, and the only "2" is JET...

Now is the chance for Haywood to get some minutes. Hopefully he stays as the starter. It takes Damp going out for Carlisle to be forced to play the best players. Knowing him we might start Najera.

The mavs gotta be one of the worst finishing teams in the league. So many chippies and dunk/layup opportunities are missed. That 3-on-1 break where Butler got blocked should have been a dunk. I don't care if this was his first game but you need to go strong on those plays.

His contract isn't broken-any team trading for him would be trading for the contract, not the player himself. Not sure why this would affect the dust chip.
