Im watching starbury tonight, and honestly he looks A LOT better then nash at distributing the ball, 8 assists in the 3rd qtr.

It's part of his role in this team; he was 2 years learning it. But having he and Walt out, there is a bigger void in the team; that's why, I think, the starters have problems to finish the game, the fatigue, trying to fill the hole.

Oh I definately agree, I was just saying shawn does cut a decent amount.

It would be nice to see Fin and Dirk cutting more. They are probably the 2 best finishers on the team, but rarely cut to the hoop.

Comments on tonights games:

Team and crowd were pretty somber. The mavs made it a point to contest everything down low and that's what got them their large lead. Olowakandi and Brand were completely frustrated with the stormin mormon raef and dirk. 11 blocks tonight, pretty damn fine defense.

The clips starting hitting their 3pters late and made a game of it. The starters came back in and rev'd it back up.

Cheers and jeers:
Cheers:
- Bradley....huge game... huge ovation when he came out.
- Grif.... just plays really smart.
- Dirk of course, does it all.
- Steve... a force of nature it seems.
- Mike still can't hit a 3 but he took it to the hole.

Passing:
- Raef hustled pretty good and made his presence felt defensively and on the boards.

Jeers:
- Van Excel again. When he doesn't play well he sucks the life out of the subs. He's just looking really horrible out there. We really need walt and najera back. Possibly walt more than anyone because no one on this team can shoot 3ptrs right now and nash can't get open for one because he's being shadowed really closely, one of the reasons he has so many lanes open.
- 3pt shooting. 1-11 tonight. BUTTT... The mavs made a conscious effort to take a few steps in to get 2 point shots. Finley especially went to the hoop and come in to get better shots.
- Outrebounded pretty badly 68-41. If it were anyone else than the clips, possibly a loss.
- Popeye, not much.
