Yes, I know that it was a deal including Kaman. But still, no. Kidd is still better than Davis can ever dream of.

And it looks like Carlisle wants Terry to be the closer this year. It will be a long year if that is the case.

So one minute the Clippers announcers praise us saying we have the ability to knock off the Lakers and the next they say we aren't getting out of the first round...

What did you expect?

He's literally the only guard on the team who can handle the ball AND shoot. He's probably still their 2nd best player, offensively.

Well, a Dirk/Chandler pick and roll would be nice. They used to run it with Dirk/Damp. Why not Chandler? Let the defense decide if they switch to Dirk, or double, etc. And tell Dirk to throw it to the front of the rim if they double him.

Why not put Dirk in the post, and have some cutters? Yes, ANYONE can dive cut if they just use their legs.

Oh, I see - you're upset that Terry is going to be handling the ball so much down the stretch - not that he's on the floor.

I think your suggestions are valid for "change of pace" plays, but ultimately, at the end of a close game, they're going to need a consistent ball-handling 1 or 2 guard (who they trust) to run the show. Right now, the closest person to that on the roster is Terry, IMO.

I agree, it's a problem, but there's just nobody else to replace him.

I don't think it's going to work building a fourth quarter offense around Dirk passing to dive cutters that can't finish.

DJ is looking more comfortable out there in general. He seems to have a better feel for where guys are going to be. I liked his ball movement much better than JJB's.

Yeah, I really like the DJ's passing ability for a two guard. But Carlisle needs to have enough confidence that his scoring ability won't be a liability for this team. That might take a little bit more time.
