Holy crap. I'm in another league where we had a two week playoff. I go into today with a 21 point lead against an opponent that has Adrian Peterson and the Chicago Bears defense left to play. I'm not feeling great, but a win is certainly possible. Then the news comes today that Peterson is sitting out tonight. Suddenly, it's looking like I've managed to take down the league's best team. I go into the 4th quarter and have a relatively comfortable lead still. However, the Vikings proceed to turn the ball over FOUR FREAKING TIMES IN THE FINAL QUARTER. I am now tied with my opponent, and I think I'm almost sure to lose the tiebreaker thanks to my worse regular season record.
There aren't enough cuss words to describe the way I'm feeling right now.

You're going up against the defending Super Bowl champ - should be interesting!

Good fight, old man! It's damn hard to win 16 games in a row...
I'm kinda proud of my D-M team this season; I started 1-3, clawed my way up to 2-5, then didn't lose another game for the rest of the season...
My keepers were Randy Moss, Megatron and Ray Rice, but I didn't turn my season around until I benched (and eventually dropped) Moss... Drafting Forte, Foster and Nicks with my first three picks then getting Vick off the wire pretty much put me over the top... Easily one of my best fantasy football teams EVER.
QB - Michael Vick / Joe Flacco
RB - Arian Foster / Ray Rice / Matt Forte / Brandon Jackson
WR - Calvin Johnson / Hakeem Nicks / Mike Williams (SEA) / Santonio Holmes
TE - Dustin Keller / Zach Miller
D/ST - (Carolina's opponent each week)
K - Sebatian Janikowski

WIN!
Not bad for a 6-7 team who made it into the playoffs by the skin of their teeth (you're lucky it was divisional record instead of league-wide!), but you beat the defending Super Bowl champ in the Super Bowl so nobody can question the legitimacy of your championship... Congrats on a hard-fought season!

It ain't over just yet....like I said, the championship hats and tees aren't out of the boxes yet. There's always a Antonio Gates type of game that could blow it all up in my face.
I will say though I still go back to last year where I've basically doubled my wins and made the right moves at the right time this year. I got hot at the right time and I did my own streakbusting along the way!
You winning the DM League and me hopefully winning the Spygate league, hm!
I've got to hit the drawing board again in the DM league, and start planning for the Hardcore league and I already know what I'm doing with the hopeful championship spygate team

He'd have to get 50+ points out of Tony Gonzales (season-high 17.1) and David Akers while you get nothing from Matt Bryant...
I'd say it's safe to crack open the champaign!

Congrats to LeftTexas on his Hardcore league Super Bowl victory!
(I totally lost track of that league when I didn't make the playoffs...)
Spygate winner: BG
Hardcore winner: LT
D-M winner: UD

I'm sad that I didn't get to do anything in the D-M league. I never do, and I am embarrassment to the league. But two things: A) I hate the ESPN interface, and B) there's no stakes, my brutha! I am happy to be cashin' checks and snappin' necks, as it were, to the tune of $600 or so in my main interest league.
So, when you panny asses want to come off some change and make it interesting?

I won 1/3 of the Super Bowls I played this week. Two were 2-week rounds and and one was 1-week.
Ryan Mathews won one for me and killed me in another... I lost the third because douchers who were already eliminated from contention grabbed all the good waiver picks.
Week 17 Super Bowls are bullsh - it's all about who can snag the best guys off the waiver wire rather than playing the team that got you there. Needless to say, I'll never participate in a 17-week league again...

Are the owners from last season down to play next season for the DM league or does it need to go away?

I'm in it to win it.
Did we make that one auction last time? We need to find a way to make it an auction if we didn't.

We have 5/12 so far...not a rousing start.
If you know peeps that are in the league and haven't responded, spread the word or this will meet it's demise.

Looks like the Hardcore league is suffering too - we already have 4 people who are out (5, if Thiggy bails...)
This lockout killed a lot of our fantasy momentum. At least the Spygate Freakout league appears to be going strong, just need one replacement owner...

I am usually just dragging this league down, because I don't put enough energy into it. I feel guilty about that, so I am offering my sadsack little franchise to someone else on the board who would be a more active owner.

I don't know if you counted me or not BG, but I am down for another year of...whichever one of these I am in already.
I have my keeper QB Donovan McNabb, so... it's all downhill from here, right?

Looks like we might be merging BrYan's DM league with my Hardcore league, not sure yet.
We'll probably figure it out this weekend.

Are we still doing the d-m.com regular keeper league?
It's telling my invalid league or something when I try to get to 2012 page. Don't we need to set keepers?

That league is dead - most of the people who were in that one are also in the new league that I'm starting, so it got axed.
I still have a few spots open in the new league for anyone who is interested though...
