I'm willing to bet you have never been down here, so why judge? Dumb dumb dumb.
Immaturity and ignorance sounds about right.

Once again, Kidd with the extended minutes 37:57. I thought he was supposed to be saved for the playoffs?

F**k this loss, f**k Dirk´s knee for not healing as fast as it should, f*ck myself for being stupid enough to stay up all night long to watch yet another frustrating loss.

That's how it goes when Barea shoots 0-4 in 10 mins.

And not even look to pass. Helen f'n Keller looks to pass more than Voldeshort.

Btw, no one is ever going to convince me that it makes sense to give Mahinmi 0 minutes of PT on a night like this.

The real injury is leaving Mavs fans with a fractured heart.
Christ, we legitimately need this kid. He brings something that literally no other player on this team can bring outside of a healthy Dirk. (healthy being the key word, he doesn't look good right now) .
At the very least it gets JJB off the damn court. How can the Mavs brass be so high on this guy? I love his grittiness, but you can't teach height, nor basketball IQ. He has very little of both and it's causing the Mavs to completely burn out Kidd.

I agree Fin.
Especially on a back to back... give him about 5 minutes just to see if he can grab some rebounds or provide some energy. If not then you sit him back down.
But (IMO) he should take 5 minutes from Haywood every game.
But I'm just a dumb observer, not the coach. Of course if I was the coach tonight, the first time Voldeshort ignored Dirk and tried to lay it on against 3 Bulls... his @ss would have been sittin' next to Caron Butler for a long time.

Mavs' inability to collect a rebound even when they have 2+ guys right there (often hitting them in the hands) is......frustrating.

Not real upset about this loss, but the Mavs have lost 10 of 13. Let's get back to winning!

I'm not upset about this one at all. Mavs looked pretty tired on the b2b and it's been a busy week. Dirk playing on his first b2b since coming back...looked like he was a little bothered by it.
Tyson looked better ( I sure liked the way they were letting him play some offense. They should do that more against some centers...but he doesn't really pass out of it..so it's a hit or miss. But I liked it.).
DSteve got it back on track a little bit. Sasha came back to earth some..
Chicago is a tough little team...they are going to give some folks fits.

Probably right, I assume you wanted him to take some of that 32minutes that tyson was playing.
Tyson looked kinda tired out there late.

He probably should sit dirk, sasha and stevenson against the bulls. Between those scrubs they only picked up 6 rebounds totatl.

While Kidd rebounds very good for a guard, that is more than offset by the rebounding of JJB, Jet, and Stevenson between the 3 they average 5.3 RPG in 70.2 minutes per game (that equals less than 4 rebounds per 48 minutes)

Should probably sit his scrub PG who can't even get more assists than turnovers too.

I thought Kidd, who willed the team to victory last nite god bless him, really hurt the team for about a 5 minute stretch in the 4th where he: made 2 unforced turnovers, allowed Rose to go backdoor on him for a layup and was slow to rotate to CJWatson moments after he hit a corner 3 allowing him a wide open look at another 3 from the top of the key.
And ive been begging for a rugged rebounding 4 for months now. Marion has simply slipped some as a rebounder. We made Kurt freaking Thomas look like a young Charles Oakley out there tonight. Need another physical banger. If Carlisle isn't going to give Ian Mahinmi a shot, that is.

Jet? They would press him and cause us to get into our offense rather late in the clock. The upside would be more minutes for our best players. And JJ is great at getting the ball over halfcourt. It's just that once he does he tends to pound the ball thus running down the shot clock...

Voldeshort, amputated spine, over-the-hill sharpshooters, losses after losses... Well better laugh now than collapse to the inevitable sad truth: w/o Dirk the Mavs play like a vulgar team, and imo, they should've sit him down in this game (now it's obvious) and the next b2b games until his fully recovered, but he played, just for the same reason that J-Kidd plays the same amount of minutes as of his age, to prevent any embarrasment that would tear down any morale left. I hope that RC spare our vets more, but it's easier to say than done. BTW, Brendan Haywood 5 year contratc extension is very heavy brick now, who would've thought that we would get, just weeks after resigning with him, 2 (or 3) better centers than he, damn luck! And if they want to trade him, they should hide him deep in the bench, cuz every time he goes out there he loses a chunk of trade value (next Dampier).
Get well soon Dirk, the mavs need their MVP.

The loss didn't come unexpected, yet we certainly could have won the game against a Bulls team without Noah and Boozer. A rebound here and there could have already been enough to put us over the top.
The lack of offensive potential was once again painfully obvious. Four of five guys in our current starting lineup average single-digit scoring numbers, none of them can create their own shot. Jet and Marion can change of some of it off the bench, while Haywood and JJB are offensively challenged as well. Kidd's scoring and rebounding was okay, yet he didn't have a good game overall and was largely ineffective due to the team's weak shooting.
Dirk and Kidd playing in the neighborhood of 40 minutes to hopefully save this team reminded me of last season when we had to do it all the time and paid the price in the playoffs. Things have really changed after Caron's injury and with Dirk not at a 100%.

That would be the thing that would have to disappoint you. Bulls are a good team, but - depending on how healthy you think Dirk & Chandler are right now - Mavs should have been able to beat them up a bit in the frontcourt.
As good as Chandler has been, Kurt Crazy Eyes played him to essentially a draw down low. Can't happen.
...OTOH, it was a back to back for Dallas, but not for the Bulls - which is always a huge advantage. I think most fans would have taken 1-1 during that B2B after MLK day loss put the losing streak at 6. At the same time, gotta start winning more or they'll be looking at going on the road all the way to the Finals...which is nigh impossible regardless of what trades get made.

I get the impression Tyson would be a willing passer. So is it a matter of not practicing plays as such and others cutting or spotting up for him to look for?Or is it the dreaded low BBIQ and they don't think he can handle it? Or something as simple as he's a poor passer, they've tried it and didn't work, want the offense running through other players and not the center.
This is not meant to be a knock on Tyson by any means. Reading that point made me think why not.

Wow, whats wrong with some of you, criticising Dirk for coming back and try to help the team even if hes not healthy at all! You can criticise him for not hitting his shots tonight, but try to jump with a knee injury, come on? If he didnt came back early you would be criticising him for beeing out for such a long time!

Most likely.
At this point I'd like to see DJ get JJB's Pg minutes to see if he can contribute there. He has a knack for taking guys off the dribble and finding an open man. Let him run the backup pg for a few games and see if he is going to be able to be anything more than an extra body this season(for F*cks sake), because he isn't going to be able get 'er done at the 2. I still like him and think he WILL be a damn good player though.

So you wanted him in there against the lakers and the bulls. Dojo has gotten quite a bit of burn this year and has not shown much special to me.

Lost last time minus Boozer. Too many 2nd chance opps killed us. Outrebounded by 10. I mean we couldn't take advantage of a DRose BrickAThon, 9-28, come on , rebounding is hustle and effort. Granted its the 2nd of back to backs, but coming off the high of beating the Champs. Its inexcusable.

Well I'd pick and choose his spots but mostly he has been the SG. He's not the scorer yet. He has been impressive to me drive and kick tho and thats why I'd like to see if he can help there. If not fine, just don't once again waste a player over on the bench. It's better to know as we saw with Roddy last year and I don't think he has had enough a shot at PG to know anything. Seriously, as bad as JJB has been, how much worse can it get?
