RT @ramonashelburne: Mark Cuban, Dirk. Rick Carlisle, Donnie Nelso were all at the Mavs meeting, which lasted nearly three hours

I continue to be amazed that Dwain Price is a Mavs beat writer. What an embarrassment.

Honestly, I was ready to seclude in a dark room and bathe in sorrow when he tweeted the meeting was already over. He seems very unprofessional.

Well, its one of his best buddies and honestly with Dirk as the best stretch four it could work nicely if Josh finally works on his shot selection.
And defensively Dwight/Josh are pretty much a perfect fit to hide an aging Dirk in his last years. Add Bledsoe and you get a great defensive team.
Rumours are that the Rockets contacted the Hawks about a Asik/Josh S&T.

Dwight to the Mavs.
(No source or official word, I'm just saying it. Because.)

It should be considering they know him more than any other team.

::sigh::
Somehow in all the hopeful optimism, I had unknowingly convinced myself that he would make his decision today.

and now it's gone.
That's the official Bill Walton twitter, right? If so, is he stoned or did he hear that DH wanted out of LA?

Reaction of Cuban, Dirk, Donnie after the meet:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWDu-u7iXQk#at=15
Call me crazy, but according to their body language/behavior the meeting went really well.

I fully expect to be disappointed in a couple of days. I'd be shocked if the Mavs landed Howard.

If you would be shocked that the Mavs landed Howard, how could you be disappointed if they didn't?

One of my favorite players to watch in the league but he isn't worth it. If Mavs miss on Dwight I still want Bynum, Mavs really lack upside on the roster and Bynum would add a ton.

Sam Amick reporting that Houston told Josh Smith today that they want to pair him with D12. If Houston can get the Smith SNT done before D12 makes his decision, I'd imagine that would make his choice pretty easy.

Smith would have to take a pretty decent size pay cut as I don't see ATL having interest in Lin (just Asik)

I'm with Murph on this. I fully expect to look back and think of this as a colossal waste of time. I hope I'm wrong. I would like to see winning basketball again.
If Howard goes elsewhere and Cuban plays 1 yr contracts again next year, I'll adopt another team. I'm not going to wait through 2 more years of bad basketball so he can try this parade on Lebron.
I'd rather rebuild than watch Cuban fruitlessly suck up to another star.

Talk about two guys who wouldn't play well together.

Per Woj: Sacramento is offering free agent Andre Iguodala a four year, approximately $56 million contract, league sources tell Y! Sports.

I hope you pick another team and never post on this board again, that being said Cuban has made it clear he isn't interested in the 1 year contracts thing this year.

I have a strong feeling that the Mavs will be looking at a .500 team again with no significant youth to look forward to in the future... Maybe they've drafted some end of the rotation type players the past two drafts but nothing to write home about.. I'll always be a mavs fan and I hope I'm wrong. I just don't think that I am... Maybe next offseason they'll have enough financial flexibility to sign two studs... But by that time, it'll be three dirk years pissed away

How many free agents have we missed out on while chasing Howard?
