Definitely the biggest roller coaster free agency in recent memory. I'm now getting the feeling that Houston would match Parsons either way. Maybe less likely if Bosh stayed, but not hugely less likely imo.

OMG YES. ALL THOSE WITTLE HOUSTON TROLLS.
It's totally not as big of a deal if they match Parsons since they'll still be a 1st round exit team. Mahahaha.

Not to mention they dealt away Lin and Asik like nothing. Which is practically their bench.

@daldridgetnt: With Dallas $ tied up with Parsons offer sheet, Wizards are trying to get Ariza deal done. Ariza still wants to hear from Mavs, though.

He'd be dumb not to wait till Sunday night/Monday. Even if he just uses us a bargaining chip, it makes no sense to sign a quick deal. Still lots of cap room on the table.

Well, they've maneuvered to get cap space, so they could still make some moves, and even target some Mavs FAs/targets with the intention of ultimately matching on Parsons. No guarantee that they don't find ways of complicating life for Dallas while improving their team. Still, love, love, love that they're missing out on Bosh. F'ing brilliant.

MIA could be an option for Ariza now too, if Bosh and Wade stay.

Man that would be great. Would mean we either get Parsons or Ariza, but if he'd resign with the Wizards, understandable as well.
Worst case for him: Mavs get Parsons and he'll have to negotiate a worse contract with Wizards.

I'll take the risk of having Stephenson here. Then bring back Marion. I don't trust Ariza.

Marion's time is up. If he comes back VERY cheap and for little playing time, ok. If not, i'm not sad!

No that's true, but I don't see any game changing moves like the Bosh one. Although some Rockets fans still think they have a chance at Melo. Don't see that happening, but with this offseason, stranger things have happened.

Very little talk about Deng suggests teams think he is bound I guess. Ariza is risky, but the only "safe" options were LeBron and Melo anyway.
Wade is injury-prone and 30+, Deng has limited offense, Stephenson is nuts, Parsons and Hayward are bets they'll improve and Ariza might have had an outlier year.

While I agree Ariza's production might go down, he did shoot 40% from three last season and is a better defender than Parsons. Not a terrible backup plan. Oh and he did this to our dreaded rival...

He's still a top-10 rebounder from the 3 at least and okay defensively. Just can't defend guards any more and has no offensive game.

Whoa. We've seen some big money flowing, but that is insane.
We are talking Jordan Hill right and not pre-injury Grant?

And woj: Sacramento restricted free agent Isaiah Thomas has reached agreement on an offer sheet with Phoenix, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

I'll be sad because Marion has been one of the all-time great Maverick players. I don't understand how you couldn't be a little sad to see him go if you're a MFFL.

No doubt he had a good past season statically. But we're all going to ask ourselves which 30 year old SF is best for us(Deng or Ariza). At this point if Parsons is totally gone. We go for at least one young quality starter. Someone like Isaiah Thomas. I'd consider him starting the point while having Marion back. If not make a bold move signing Stephenson and re-sign Marion to keep his starting role.

A little sad, but he was asking way too much money. I want to see what he got more than anything.
edit: 4/27. Starting at about 6mill. A little sadder given the reasonable contract.

Wait, why the hell would Phoenix give Thomas an offer if Eric Bledsoe is still a RFA? Can Bledsoe be up for play?
