Maybe somebody has been dosing his water with kryptonite?

I don't believe it. I've watched the guy long enough. Somethings not right.

Or he's just another year older? The whole reason we got Parsons was to take the pressure off Monta and Dirk.

Dirk will be in top form come spring time...barring injury of course.

The difference with dirk IMO is his revamped jumper. That's why he's still been shorting fine while posting but bricking open spot up jumpers. He's been rushing shots he really doesn't need to.

i was going to post something similar. I noticed multiple instances in last nights(Pelicans) game where he really rushed a shot that didn't need to be rushed. There was a baseline turnaround with no defender within 5ft. that he was shooting before he even turned. And two or three others.

With Dirk's combination of ball fakes, footwork, height and fadeaway there is really no reason for him to ever rush a shot

I agree... But if the dirkster thinks it will benefit in the long term it makes sense to stick with it. But i agree, sometimes it looks like he is just flinging it up there.

The big thing for me watching it is that his quicker release is more vertical, he doesn't bring the ball back nearly as far and that makes it a completely different shot

Seems to me that he hasn't been using his legs as much on 3 point shots. He used to have this deep crouch "uncoiling" style he would use on wide open uncontested 3's and in transition that I don't recall seeing all season.
