Idk y it took so long to go to Salah when Adams was killing us. But the missed layups... like what 6 of them? That's a lot of points.

I completely agree with you realdeal17. Keep repping for me on those Mike Fisher boards.

Guy played like an all star for 1.5 months and you disappeared. Funny how that works.

It's fun having a never give up mentality team if we were "YOUNG" but too bad we have a team full of "WASHED UP VETS" who are breaking down. Thing is those "YOUNG" teams have a future to build on.

Got to feel bad for Dirk that Cuban best free agent acquisition with Dirk Max contract discount was Chandler Parsons and Wesely Matthews

That's a kind of player Mavs should have targeted last season to improve the bench. A nice young player with upside. Not washed up hags like Charlie V and David Lee

And smh @ rick carlisle. Been that way for me since 2010. Imagine Dirk with a lillard type guard for his career or a Duncan/Shaq- hell. You saw what he did with chandler and Haywood. The guy should have at least 3 rings for his career especially once you look past 2009 going to 2013. The dude was a offensive machine unstoppable one on one!!! These games pain me to watch now because our damn coach won't play lineups that can defend a damn.
End of rant

Waiters is shooting under 40% this year. He also makes more than Lee and Charlie V combined. We targeted a young SG. His name is Wes Matthews.

I don't think he's all there mentally. I mean he thinks Waiters is a nice young player with upside. A guy shooting almost the exact same fg% as CV3 and eerily similar on defense, then quotes how we don't use size but wants waiters instead of David lee.

^ It's just funny how most people who disagreed with me on that site in 2012,2013,2014, and now 2015 are starting to agree with me. Ok I'm done posting from that crappy site created by the loser Mike Fisher. Go Mavs!

The great Dirk Nowitzki went 10-16 for 33 points and 6 rebounds vs OKC. All of this at age 37. Greatness who should have 3+ rings by now if Cuban would do his job right during the draft process.

Dirk could have scored 40. But early in the 4th JJB, Devin and Felton ignored him completely on offense. I do not get it. If I were Dirk I would be really mad at RC and our bench backcourt. No excuses.

Well I still think Salah should have gotten in when OKC started controlling the boards right at the start of their big run. The not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5... but 6+(I actually lost count) missed layups were just awful though. Considering we all kinda knew we would be poor defensively and rebounding coming into this year... OKC pretty much ended up with their season avg for fg% and rebounds(Season 47%fg tonight 48% 48rebs season tonight 52). The killer remains the poor offense as we went 40% from the field(if not for Dirk we would have been under40%). We just can't compete defensively except for, hopefully, timely stops when they matter most. The offense being this bad though(and its' not like OKC is a top defense) continues to be the biggest problem, and it's exacerbated by the fact we intentionally go small because those guys are supposed to be helping us offensively.

Lol. Waiters is awful. He has zero upside. He has been force fed minutes due to necessity for the past two seasons, and he has not produced. Why do you think they traded for Randy Foye? If he were on the Mavs, you would hate him.

I thought today we didn’t get enough stops. We gave up almost 3 30 point quarters, which is too many. Offensively, we did some good stuff. We didn’t get enough stops and rebounds to really make this a game

Dirk disagrees with my concern for the offense. I'm not gonna argue with the GOAT. I guess he expects more defensively with small lineups than I do. Although maybe by "good stuff" he meant - "I was on feuer, get on my level".

I think the problems with this team are pretty evident by now... we have enough talent on the team to beat the bad teams and have a puncher's chance against the 2nd-tier contenders (OKC, LAC, CLE, BOS, etc) but there's no chance in hell this team even puts a scare in GSW or SAS. That's okay... to me I'm satisfied just making the playoffs this year, especially without a first-round pick and a trade deadline that has some and gone with no action.
That said, if we bring back this core (even if Matthews comes back next fall 100%) for another year I'll be pretty disappointed.

It is what it is. A very mediocre Team full of aging Vets that can use their experience to overcome bad Teams but cant overcome their athletic and speed issues against the very good Teams.
At the End a likely 5-8 Seed (I guess we'll end up 6th) and a 1st Round demolition.
Carlisle really has to be held accountable too.
Those lineups smh. Like if he just wants no one that can defend on the floor together.
It all started with DeAndre though in the summer. We would have fielded the Same Team just swap DeAndre for Zaza. Heck we may probably still gotten Zaza who knows.
Just imagine this Team with an elite Defender and Rim Protector.
I like Zaza but hes not helping this Team on the defensive side much.

Mavs will adjust after this. They showed interesting glimpses of being competitive. It's up to Carlisle how to work Lee in. I noticed McGee wasn't suited. He should have been.

I love Dirk and am glad he had a good game, but he hasn't really played well for most of the month. The team absolutely needs to learn how to not rely on him all the time.
