Forget about Teague, George, Jefferson, or Ellis... those Indi Otters are outdoors tonight, so they fall to the Mavs!
Mavs - 118
Indi Otters - 111

Unpredictable opponent, though they beat the Clippers twice, and the Cavs too. Hopefully they bring their A game, we need to keep our hard-fought lead on the Sixers.

Dont forget to add Salah to the "injury" report. Cause: Carlisle despises him

I think what's making this season interesting right now is to see if they actually can get to .500 or get closer to getting a top 5 pick. Either way it goes Carlise should play these younger players like Brussino and Hammons some more with the vets. Let's see how that can go.

Someone tell these guys to stop making 3's. Hard to tank when you make buckets.

Look how much better we look when having actual centers out there. Having Powell playing center is the risk. But Mejri seems to liking the paint more.

Powell can't hit a clutch jumper to save his life, but I like his aggressiveness.

Now tomorrow night Mavs play in foggy houston. So they could gain some good momentum from this win. Which makes it a more interesting game. I like Brussino and Curry out there with the vets too. Helps the team gain energy.

Really doesn't make sense to start bashing him at this point. But yeah, he hasn't been as productive on offense this start to the season.

Did you watch the Kings game? Those "actual centers" were actually pretty terrible. Salah especially was so bad that he had 4 fouls in 11 minutes and a tech and RC yelled at him to sit down and as he was walking by it looked like he wanted to cram his shoe in his ass. I like the way Powell has been playing recently but I do think Dwill has a lot to do with it. But Bogut is better, there's a reason he's being talked about in trades and not a cheap contract like Salah or a young guy like Powell. Bogut gets 11 boards in like 23 minutes played. Salah and Powell just combined for 48minutes and 10 boards.

The fouls didn't help, you're right. But did Mejri have a no foul trouble game tonight in this win?

I'm not bashing him. Carlisle didn't play him when the team is short handed, in a throw away season. Last year he played a small but meaningful part in a playoff push. Safe to say he has disappointed.

He played well yes. I'm just saying if you are praising Powell and Salah as "actual centers" when they played a combined 48minutes and grabbed all of 10 combined rebounds that's not very good. We won because we took care of the ball to the tune of 8 TO's. Those same Centers played in a game where we had over 20 TO's. That was the biggest difference today, not the play from center.

The Pacers is the streakiest team in the NBA right now, they can beat anybody, and as they once again proved, they can also lose to anybody. At least the Suns won. There really isn't a single tanking team this season, and that helps us tremendously. We could be top 3 even if we win 25 games.

If anyone considers Paul George a superstar, then Barnes certainly is.
I just think that the gap between the tier one players like Lebron, Durant and the next tier is bigger than usual. While he may not be in that class yet, he is imo just as good as anyone just a hair under.

Monta Ellis line 22 min 0 points.
We held Pacers to 69 FGA to our 80 FGA
Wes with 26 pts for 3rd time in last 6 games tonight, hitting 46.5% of 3s in last 14. (thanks Mark Followill @MFollowill)

Disappointing loss. Glad to see us come together and show some signs of life, but we need to pull it together down the stretch. Even with my distaste for Houston, I still won't find myself rooting for a W.

George is a much better player than Barnes, come on now. Other than rebounding, there is no comparison.

Ideally, we are looking at a four-game losing streak from now. Fingers crossed. If we start to win games consistently, we are the biggest idiots.

I think Barnes is a tier three forward right now.
Tier 1: Lebron, Durant, Kawhi, Brow, Cousins
Tier 2: Butler, Blake, Hayward, Love, George, Aldridge, Draymond, Carmello, Milsap, Porzingis
Tier 3: Barnes, Gay, Batum, Parker, Wiggins, Parsons, Porter?, Randle?
Also, I consider Giannis to be a point guard, but he would be in tier 2

George is a better passer, and I'm not sure why you think he is so much better otherwise this season? George is a bit taller, leaner, and perhaps more athletic. He gets the benefit of going to the line the way Barnes has to obviously earn...although I'm curious to wonder if the Refs will ever blow the whistle for our guys the way they do other teams.

For now PG13 is better than Barnes to me but to DH's point the gap that exists is biggest between tier 1-2. If Barnes is tier 3 he's not far behind the tier 2's. Barnes is doing really well in his 1st year in this primary role, it would be better to compare Barnes now to PG13 in his first year as a primary scorer. 2012-13 PG13 to Barnes today is a pretty good comparison actually I think. Barnes is not a finished product, PG13 for the most part is, he's been this player for 3-4 years now without much improvement. And hopefully Barnes improves like PG13 did. To the point about FT's PG13 got under 5 a game his first year as a primary scorer. 2nd year it went up to over 8 per game. We can only hope Barnes gets that type of treatment.
Also I'd put Jimmy Butler in tier 1. If Kawi is tier 1 Butler is to me. Their numbers are nearly identical I think.

I considered Butler in tier 1 and Kawhi in tier 2. Not sure if this is correct, but I give Kawhi a pass numbers wise for being a Spur, and also give him a ratings boost for being a Spur.
