The new big 4. PPG for the last 5 games...

HB - 20.4
Wes - 18.5
Seth - 18.4
Yogi - 17.8 (his scoring avg as a Mav)

Amazing.

Is there anything stopping another team from offering Yogi a much larger contract than the Mavs are able to once this 10 day is up?

Was there ever a better 10 day contract performance?

If we lose Yogi to another team and all we end up with is a much worse draft position thanks to him, I'm going to be really mad, althought it would be a perfectly fitting story for this year's "let's make a run at it" burlesque squad.

I'll be happy when he ink is dry. Don't want him hiding out in Houston Monday night.

I don't really believe that a guy we signed last Saturday hit 9 threes in a game. Nope. Didn't happen.

Yogi going to crash back to the earth too...9-11 from dowtown was a one hit wonder but still the guy is playing great.

I really hope we are shipping Deron out so we have a roster spot for PJ. I hope they have a winkie winkie deal with him that latestly after the TDL they have a spot for him.

Thing is that he is doing a lot of other little things. And he was Mr. Pull up three in college, so I don't see why those would magically go away when he is known for them.

But he shut down Lillard early in the game (and for most of it as well). I just love the way these entitled vets like Lillard and Irving respond to playing him like "jeez, mr. try hard against me." You can tell that he completely throws them off rhythm.

And last game when he didn't shoot well, he was doing other things like tipping rebounds, clogging lanes, moving well without the ball.

He seems to be more of a scoring point guard (like the rest of the league), but he does try to get his teammates involved as well.

Nice to see Coach Nick making some video about Mavs. I think upcoming game against Blazers will show what Yogi can do. There is no way that Blazers will ignore him second time around. This will give better measurement how much Yogi can do for Mavs going forward. I am still amazed how he was able to instantly fit in to Mavs flow.

There were three 30-something guys out for this 4 game winning stretch and four out the last game of those 4 yet we are winning big games.
If this doesn't open the eyes of the FO and send a message I'm not sure what will.
As many of us have been screaming on this board, youth is our best chance for winning and the direction this team should be headed.

DWill, Bogut and Harris should be shopped for more youth and future assets right now imo.
The youth chemistry is building well right now but those 3 along with Barea coming back will only disrupt and hamper that chemistry development process.

Stein reporting that Yogi got offered his two year deal after the Philly game and before the Portland game.

Has he signed it yet?

I don't think he can sign it until tomorrow. Saturday through Tuesday I believe is 10 days.
