BSPN just laid off Stein as well....lol
Pretty obvious that Woj is joining ESPN next season. And Stein ends up with Simmons at the Ringer

It sucks that a lot of these guys are getting laid off, but BSPN has had it coming for a while.

If the Jazz win, then this NBA season has been a success.

They tried, but the Jazz prevailed. Hopefully the Clippers blow it up.

If Chris Paul uses the ETO then I would say Donnie go right and try to snatch him if he's free. This would make sense since Griffin might be leaving too. Clips losing the first round speaks volumes.

The chances of Paul becoming a Maverick are 0.
I know it seems strange and you seem to be the last to catch on, but the Mavericks are rebuilding.

It would look much better since Griffin might for sure leave. He's going to want too much clips offer. But since you're last to catch CP3 has an ETO. It can really turn the Mavs into a contender after signing Noel. With a Barnes and of course Wes. Then Mavs draft a forward to really build up in contending.

Paul Pierce retires.
Dirk in Dallas and Vince in Memphis are the last left from the 1998 draft.
Who in the 2017 draft will last 15?

CP3 to the Spurs or Knicks IMO.
Deandre choose comfort over the chance to build something in Dallas. Serves him right to be mired in the Clippers mediocrity. I hope the rest of the team leaves around him.
Also, the Clippers fans are as sorry as it gets. That game had a preseason atmosphere.
Finally, I hope the Jazz steal two from the Warriors series and bang them up a bit.

Save to say that Cuban never ever going to offer any of the banana boat idiots a contract.
Paul, Griffin or even DeAndra one day....if they want to sign here i hope the FO gives them a nice little middlefinger

Paul has his own ego yeah I know. But could use a veteran PG also. Though wouldn't you think Mavs can be automatic contender having him start the point next season with a Barnes, Dirk, and Noel? Not to mention drafting a forward making more sense if there is a chance to snatch Chris Paul. Deandre is proving to be a waste. And also Griffin. So I'm having this hunch he's really leaving while they overpay Griffin.

Griffin and Paul will opt out, but I'm betting CP3 sticks around so he can get one last supermax contract that no other team can offer him... Griffin still has a couple more max contracts in his future, so he'll probably play elsewhere for a chance to do more with his career.

I like seeing Doc eat shit too -- serves him right after the way he forced his way out of Boston, not to mention his role in the DeAndra fiasco... The Clippers make it so easy to hate them.

Paul will be 32 next season, so that fifth year the Clippers can offer him keeps him at max until he's 37... The only reason I could see him walking away from that kind of money is if he wants to play for a ring, but most of the contenders are either set at PG or can't afford to pay him max.
What other reasons would he have to bolt (especially if the Clips free up some cap space if Griffin walks)?

That's why I think Paul to the Spurs. TX taxes (vs. Cali taxes) = about the same pay, and Paul gets his shot with a 'superteam.'

I prefer to win 20 games a season than having this assholes on my team.
Paul und Griffin were part of the DeAndra crap and pulled it off in the most disrespectful way with twitter crap, fotos of locked doors etc. Knowing they are screwing the entire FA summer of another team. And screwing Dirk over.
They can f off forever.

And what's funny is that they acted like they just acquired some star they never had when Deandre should NEVER have agreed to the Mavs in the first place.
Karma has balanced out their attitudes.

Exactly. That was awfu.
I bet CP3 opts out but stays there for the money. As "great" as he is, he's never done anything in the playoffs. Hopefully Griffin bolts and he's stuck with Deandre for the next 5 years watching him miss free throws

You wouldn't think Mavs would look like contenders adding Paul? Clips are sinking depth wise. We probably have better bench players than them now. There's a good chance everyone ditches deandre. Things look better for free agents this summer after signing Noel long term.

Carmella is going to cry his way to the Clippers this summer. Pretty much the only franchise where the Knicks could dump Carmella (Redick and Filler).
Then the banana boat buddies Paul&Carmella are united, together with Griffin and Jordan. Rivers stays, Ballmers pays a shitload of money and the Clippers will still suck.

They made sure Gobert wasnt going to impact the game. Chris Paul as usual allowed to mug all players, then draw an offensive foul. POS for kicking at Ingles. Always throws mini temper tantrums. Its who he is and why nobody likes playing with him, as great as his individual talent is.
What a great playoffs so far

Those 12:30pm games in LA are brutal. I went once to see Mavs with Monta, Tyson, Dirk, Parsons and it was straight up empty. Mavs got blown out too :/

CP3 isnt going anywhere unless its SA. Or any team at the very top of the NBA that doesnt need a PG.
I think Griffin will be gone. I expect a shakeup of some sort.
Would love to see Caramel go to LA. That would be the icing to watch those fools not get out of the Western Conference.

Man I dunno, Adams really came up short in the playoffs. He's a good defensive player who is pretty limited otherwise.
I'd rather roll the dice on Noel.

I guess in that scenario, we'd still keep Noel and Adams would back him up. Didn't realize that he had four more years, though. They also liked him well enough to offer him a 4year/100million dollar contract last year.
But yeah, we'll have cap space, but I doubt we'll be able to use it with a free agent. Might as well cash it in to free up space for other teams. 4/100 may be extreme, but I could see us taking rentals from other teams for trade assets.

Why would Chris Paul want to play for Dallas?? Dirk is one foot in the grave, Noel has yet to prove himself in this league, and Barnes is still a work in progress... There's no way in hell he leaves $25m on the table to play for a lottery team in the middle of a full rebuild, especially when the Clippers will have cap space to replace Griffin if he bolts.
Also, maxing-out Noel isn't going to leave us with enough cap space to sign another max player unless we somehow dump Matthews or Powell/Harris without taking back any salary. Easier said than done, especially with the cap being only $101m next season instead of the originally-projected $108m.

You really need to educate yourself on how the salary cap works... OKC has the 3rd-highest payroll in the league, they're almost $10m over the cap -- they won't be able to sign anyone of consequence this summer.
