It's hard to know whether Rick is actually trying or not. I feel like he is a better coach than 7-19 even with this roster. He's starting DSJ (when healthy) and Kleber, two pretty unproven players. As long as the losses keep piling, then I could really care less if he is trying or not.
So either...
A. Rick is trying to win and the Mavs are bad so we get a high draft pick.
B. Rick is trying to tank and the Mavs are bad so we get a high draft pick.

Found a video with his work. pretty impressive - really gave wiggins a tough time.
Now work on that jumper and keep your foot behind the line next time.

@ESefko: If it's 12-11-2017, it must be Seth Curry update time. Rick Carlisle says he remains out and next update will be on Dec. 18.

Can we just put him on ice and let him have the season off?

I get that he is Starting DSJ and now finally Kleber. DSJ is a no brainer and he needs to be with the starters because we just spent the 9th pick on him. I've been on the Kleber train since early in the season, even hoped he would start in place of Dirk.
I'm not saying he should be starting Cleveland. My point is you don't take a guy and bench him for good like that when he is shutting down a key player and playing good ball, especially a developing young player on a team desperate for young talent. I don't think these young guys are going to win us games and ruin some peoples high draft hopes with more meaningful minutes. It just seems like it's stunting their growth as well as the teams when that type of thing happens.
There is no question that Rick is trying to win.

You say Rick is trying to win, yet if Cleveland was the best bet to win in your opinion, then why pull him? Not quite seeing the logic here.

Rick: “Cleveland’s game-worst -11 is terrible”
We will win if we don’t play him
Salah has the game-best +7 and only gets 8min

Well for one, I don't know why anyone is questioning if Rick is trying to win. If anyone is doing so, stop it.
For two, I didn't say Cleveland was the best bet to win.
