@EarlKSneed: Devin Harris (illness) is questionable. Seth Curry (stress reaction, left tibia), Dorian Finney-Smith (left knee quadriceps tendinitis) & Josh McRoberts (lower extremity injury) are out at Atlanta. Nerlens Noel (left thumb surgery) is not with the @dallasmavs. #DALatATL
@bobbykaralla: Notably not listed is Dennis Smith Jr. As of now looks like the rook won't be held out of b2b for maintenance reasons coming back from the left hip strain.

It’s too bad that Barea doesn’t also have an illness.
Yogi and Barea have been too good lately

Schroeder goes for 30pts. Some other rando has a career night. Losing against the Hawks trend continues

Mavs - 118

@ESefko: Expect Devin Harris to give it a go tonight against Hawks after leaving Friday's game at Miami with a stomach illness. Not sure how effective he'll be, though.

Harris just played dodgeball off Schroder's ass.

So it looks like Ilyasova actually scores points for the other team so I think the Hawks are in a totally different league than we are when it comes to tanking.

You're right. He's getting great experience in committing intentional fouls tonight.

On the bright side, we now are tied for losses with the Hawks at 25 (two more than the next worst team in the league). We are also tied for second worst with 9 wins.
Let's make this a top 3 pick and guarantee ourselves Bagley, Ayton, or Doncic.

I don't want to jinx it but this could be our year for the tank. We were 10-24 after 34 games last year too. Except last year Dirk missed nearly all of those first 34 games. This year he's played all of them and we still suck spectacularly. Do we think Curry could have a Dirk-like impact and carry us to some wins down the stretch this year? Because if not, then I can't see us suddenly flipping a switch and winning a bunch of games on the backs of the vets. We've been riding the vets to this point already. Encouraging sign for #teamtank.

Anyone bringing up dsj demeanor and body language on the court? Lot of frustration and disinterested seeming and I’m starting to question him a little bit, especially with the nagging injuries. I know it’s super early for this, but it’s not a good sign that it’s so noticeable so early into his nba career.

Not really. The only thing that is concerning are the injuries. I have little doubt in anything else.
But when you have a hip injury, which is no joke, and you're the worst team in the league...well...what exactly is there to be super motivated about? DSJ wants to win, but that can't happen this season.
Yogi, Kleber, and DSJ didn't play well which sucks because you want the young guys to play better than the vets. I'd trade anyone over 25 if I'm being honest.

There's a reason why they're called the "90s Mavs" instead of the "early 90s Mavs" or the "mid 90s Mavs" or the "late 90s Mavs" -- rebuilding takes a long-ass time, which is why it's a shame that this team didn't start a couple years ago... This is gonna last for a bit, might be time to find a new hobby if you can't handle losing.
