Many good options left. Hope we keep the pick and not trade for a half broken down vet.

Josh Green
Pros - Good defensively. Great wingspan. Solid athleticism.
Cons - Not a good shooter. Not a ball handler. Not a playmaker.

Yes on the first two, no on #3. Very streaky at shooting and was average overall in college.

Pre-Draft Analysis
Strengths
- Ideal physical profile for an off guard/wing with a great frame, long arms and impressive open-court, run-and-jump athleticism. Good straight-line speed running the floor. Finishes above the rim off one or two feet with ease. At his best in transition.
- Versatile defender who competes on and off the ball. Great feet. Can slide up and check 1s or body up with physical wings. Has gotten tougher on the floor over the years. Will stick his nose in on the offensive and defensive glass.
- Improved perimeter shooter and decision maker. Capable of making a standstill 3, quick-swing passes and close-out attacks. High floor as a prospect. Known for having strong intangibles.
Improvement areas
- Good in a lot of areas but doesn't quite have an elite skill on the offensive end. Not the most dynamic perimeter shooter. Not an advanced ball-handler or passer. Feel is good, not great. What does he give you offensively if he's not making shots?
- Explosive but finishing finesse is still improving. Can drop in occasional floaters but very right-hand dominant. Much better shooter with his feet set than off the dribble.
- Doesn't always have a next-play mentality.
Projected role: 3-and-D wing

Yikes with Maxey, Bey, and Precious on the board. Mavs hopefully know something we don’t.

What a crotch kick. Literally fire everyone in charge of the draft If this holds.

He was 36% from 3. He’s young. I trust they think he can improve. Shoot, DFS went from a broken shot to it being a strength. If he’s a worker he’ll be fine as a shooter.

I agree in the NFL....I don't get it in the NBA because it never works out. Then you end up trading one of them for less value than you took him with.

Based on their draft history they don't.......they are completely useless with these draft picks that aren't top 5.

Let's not pretend that Green isn't a good shooter. 36% on a lot of contested shots. That could be higher with a decent guard getting him shots.

36% isn't all that good in college. It doesn't even get you into the top 100 of college 3 point shooters. The line is shorter as well. Again, he is very streaky. You know who else is a streaky 3 point shooter and has his entire offense ruined when he can't hit them? Justin Jackson.

That’s reductive. Josh Green was as good as a 19 yr old freshman as Justin Anderson was as a Junior at Virginia. Anderson didn’t even start his first couple years. He’s a few years ahead.

Yeah I mean its not uncommon for a guy to shoot higher from 3 in the pro's then they do in college but yeah that is not a good percentage at all.
