Yeah if they lose in the first round after they intentionally dodged the lakers they have to make real roster changes and the scapegoat has to be PG13 imo. Idk who else makes a significant change.

At least Chuck talked about Lukas performance. Shaq can’t ever say good things about Luka.

Also feel like it needs to be mentioned how badly Rick is out coaching Ty Lue right now.

He usually out coaches opposing coaches in the playoffs imo. He's great at adjustments. Literally once KP was healthy at the end of the season he benched JRich and had him come off the bench. He's not perfect but there are not a whole lot of proven coaches better at matching up in a series.

Chuck is a basketball fan. For Shaq? It's all about him.

"I'm not concerned," Lue said. "We gotta win four games, and you come in on an opposing team's floor and play, there's no pressure on you to make shots. You just try to come in and steal a game, steal two games. But now they gotta go home and keep up the same shooting. It's easy to go on the road and do that with no pressure. We'll see in Game 3."
Ok Ty Lue... it’s “easy” to completely demolish your team at their house? Lol.

Clippers offensive rating
home - 118.5
away - 114.9
Clippers defensive rating
home - 110.2
away - 110.9
Net rating
home - 8.3
away - 3.9
Win percentage
home - .722
away - .583
Not saying they aren't dangerous, but they statistically are way better at home than they are away. Losing both home games is brutal for a team that prefers to be at home.

This is why it's so easy to hate them. Their self-anointed arrogance is unbelievable.

Even the 90s Bulls weren't that overconfident and they won championships for 6 out of 8 years.
I think they think it's swagger, but this team has done exactly two things:
1) Barely beat a Mavs team without KP, Brunson, Powell, and Barea with Luka playing injured the entire series.
2) Got beat by the Nuggets in the second round.
That's entitlement and not swagger. You gotta earn your respect first.

The problem I feel the Clippers have is that they aren't a good team. They have great personnel but they literally just put together some names and hoped for the best. Not to mention they can't stop Luka....now they are on the road and their role players will be even worse.

This. The Clippers are to the NBA as the Cowboys are to the NFL. And I think it's a culture thing and it starts at the top.

I hate to compare them to my Cowboys but that's exactly what they remind me of. It seems like the players run the team from the top down. I'd take each and everyone of those guys on my team in a second....but I wouldn't build my team around them....before the series even starts they have all these narratives they have to beat....Morris has to live up to his "bad boy" title....Kawhi has to show he's the best in the league......George has to show he's "playoff p"....its just never a game for them they have to fight all of this stuff that doesn't matter. They will rarely if ever get a Mavs team that isnt' ready to battle them.

Another scenario would be that Kawhi opts out of his last contract year with the Clippers. If you look at their roster and associated contracts, PG is signed for $40M for multiple years, Morris is signed for multiple years at $15-$17M, Kennard has a salary bump starting next year at $12.7M, Beverly one year at $14M, Zubac for a couple more years at $7.5M, Rondo for another year at $7.5M. Maybe Clippers go into "trade your rotation players" mode and rebuild the roster, or maybe Klaw jumps ship, or maybe both. I agree it is way too early to speculate and it is probably stating the obvious to say there is considerable pressure on the Clippers to make a deep run. Anything short of an appearance in the Finals would be a huge disappointment.
Mavs need a Game 3 win because the Clippers are still very dangerous.

It's possible, but I doubt Kawhi goes anywhere. He seems to love playing in LA. He moved heaven and earth to get there in the first place. He left behind a championship team to get to LA. I have a hard time seeing him going anywhere else when it would undeniably damage his legacy to leave, and when George will almost certainly take the brunt of the blame for this version of the team failing.

Exactly!
Game 3 will show a lot of how much the Mavs have matured.
They have their foot on their throat and now they have to finish them off so to speak.
It is simply too early in the series to let up at all...especially at home.

Doesn't Kawhi commute from San Diego via a helicopter? I thought I remember a report about how he loves San Diego so much he commutes or at least did prior to Kobe's accident. I'd be stunned if he left LA.
