I also think the consistency as a starter will help him grow. Sometimes you just got to give young guys a vote of confidence.

I get what you're saying, but I'd prefer Frankie starting next to Luka, and he's still young. It'll eventually happen imo, but the Mavs are SLOOOOOOW to catch on to things at times.

Yea. Its just sad that we even slipped into the gutter that is comparing THJ with MM. Both suck. We all hated Messley...probably more than THJ.

On the positive side of things, Messley tended to give me a good laugh at times when he put the ball on the floor. THJ not so much. I don't think I've ever actually LOL'd at THJ.

He couldn't handle the ball but badly attempted to. He tried doing things he wasn't capable of basically every game. Comprehend now?

In fact, you could argue that is THJ's biggest weakness in a way. If he isn't hitting a three, then I forget he is even on the court. He just isn't a high impact, high energy kind of guy.

The Wes Matthews post-up was one of my least favorite plays, always. Inefficient, no handles, no court vision. THJ over Wes anyday.

I totally misread. Yeah, we all agree that Matthews' inability to handle the ball was an issue.

The Mavs are not worth watching so long as THJ and Powell are on the roster and DFS is starting.
I would clean house and churn every non-Luka/KP player. This way if the replacements are equally bad, Cuban won't be as likely to hang onto them.

I was just pointing out the 69 in reference to Melonhead’s post, which I assumed was the point because of the “still nice”

I will say that both Wes and THJ were/are asked to do more than their games permitted. When Jordan reneged, the weight of the team fell heavily on Wes and Parsons. Mavs shoulda backed out of that contract promise because it no longer made sense.
And THJ isn't a third option.
I feel this goes in some ways for Powell as well. He didn't sign himself to that contract extension...we did.
So as much fun as it is to pick on these guys we must realize the fault truly lies with the FO.
Stop overpaying for limited talent. Or only do that if you already have a championship team established.

I think 99% of MFFL realize that it's the FO and Captain Crypto.
That said. If you ask THJ, he would tell you he's absolutely a 3rd option. Same for Cuban even though the first thing he said this offseason was that we need another creator.
I don't have a problem picking on these players and the FO

I'm on it EL, just need to get a thought out on THJ.
As long as our disdain for the contract is on the FO and not the individual, I'm good. I honestly think THJ could be a very good piece on a winning team. However, and perhaps this can be on Kidd, his absolute most valuable position to this team would be the 6th man. Yes, he's paid too much, but why not put people in the best position to succeed. Small sample size is obvious, and it's the Pels, but sure paid dividends to the overall rotation last game. The guy reminds me a LOT of Jordan Clarkson (minus Clarkson's better handle ability). Just baffling why some decisions can be so clear and still not be made by those in charge.
