Big man rotation gonna be Powell, Kleber, Chriss? Any chance of a Mo Brown or Boban sighting? Would be nice to have some bobi time backing down stick Bamba

Gotta say Powell has been playing well lately. Not sure I've ever seen him deflect for a steal then go coast to coast for a dunk.

Sad that we're having this much trouble against the Magic. Tired legs I guess.

Gonna reiterate that I really hope we don't trade Brunson even if we have to.

Think about it. Would you rather have Brunson next to Luka for 5 years $20 million per, or Kyrie for $36 Million. Or Marcus Smart for 17 million? Or DeRosen for $27 million? I'd take Brunson, because he's still getting better.

Yeah i think I’d take a current all star starter for 27 million.

Luka's not staying here after another 5 years if the Mavs don't at least get to the Finals.
So IMO DeRozan was the perfect fit here under Kidd as the 2nd option

The lineup of Luka, Green, Bullock, DFS and Chriss is really nice defensively.

Just don't understand why Kleber replaced Chriss
He was brutal all game while Chriss was playing fantastic
Mavs went the last 5:00 minutes without a FG which is why we need someone who can help Luka to close out games come playoff time.
Blew a golden opportunity to catch Utah and stay ahead of Denver slightly

He's being overused yet again....
They need to keep this guy around 18-20 Minutes so on the nights when he's struggling it doesn't hurt the team as much.
And to be honest Chriss IMO should replace both him and Powell in the pecking order. Chriss just fits much better with Luka on both ends of the floor.

Yeah, Maxi and even Powell to a lesser extent aren't bad when used properly, but we can't live and die by Maxi taking the game winning shot.
That felt like a Rick move too since Chris was playing better and was more fresh.

Kidd really needs to learn to stop overextending guys like Kleber and Powell on a b2b.
Dorian played 40 minutes. Like stop spreading these players too thin

I will say this unlike RC his (Kidd) mindframe is to force the team to play hard every night and it appears he's trying t ok get that higher seed.
RC would rest guys and basically throw away games that would ultimately hurt the mavs later in the season when it came to seedings.
For the most part if you look at minutes played per game the Mavs really aren't that bad in terms of their starters.
Yes I agree certain guys like Kleber and Powell needs to be on a more reduced role but overall I'm extremely happy with Jason Kidd.

I'm glad you mentioned Dorian because every time I focus on his defense and impact I'm just not that impressed. Fans go ga ga over him like he is untouchable, but I just don't get it.
Again, I don't dislike him, but I'd definitely move him over Brunson if we had to move one of them.

No FG in the last 5:16.
400 turnovers. God Luka was bad with those.
Who can you rely on in tight games? No one. Luka has no one else who can get a bucket in intense close games.
Kleber got eviscerated defensively. His PNR defense was God awful. Even got back cut by Wagner for a nasty dunk. Then gets the ball ripped to end any long outside chance at winning or tying the game. Dude is the first one on the team to go deer in the headlights when it gets hotly competitive. POs comes, that dude will be a ghost.
We hit 3s at a decent clip all game until the intensity ramps up then its brick city.
This is a good look at who we really are, in PO atmosphere, pressure and scrambling defenses, gameplaning on Luka to see what the "others" are made of. This is happening vs a rebuulding Magic team. It doesn't matter who the team is, it's that we get in the fire and we end up torched. Replace the Magic with any team and we struggle because the other guys cant: go get a bucket. Can't knock down open looks, choke up the ball. If Luka isn't playing the hero and he pretty much is, we are left with praying for any other guy to outplay his averages.
Fk...this one was stressful for everyone, fans and the team. Welp back on the tracks for OK.C to regroup and pick up a 3 game streak.
1. Fvking Maxi 'deer in headlight' Kleber.
2. I've told you friends, extend that fn sideline O.B.!!! It's ridiculous that guys this big with big long ass feet have no extra space to operate. Sht drives me mad.
At least I still get a break from THJ....good dude n all.

Tough game. Never not frustrating to see open look after open look bricked. Maybe we should start teaching our guys to drive with the space in front of them when they get a kick out from Luka. Kleber is completely expendable with Chriss here. At least trying to move him, Brunson, and THJ is a no brainer to me.

This loss stings more especially with Utah losing and Denver winning yesterday.
Still a lot of games left but Mavs need that 4th seed in IMO to have a better chance of getting out of the 1st round.
Based on our repeated 4th qtr struggles (lack of offense) even with Brunson on the floor I'm all for seeing if we can package Kleber & Brunson for J.Grant somehow.
I just feel like the talent level of this team goes up if you can add Grant to help Luka out with 4th qtr duties. Brunson has been great this year, but it just seems like doing those critical 4th qtr's him along with KP just hasn't been a factor to push the team over the top when needed the most. I think Grant is a guy who can help improve the Mavs in that situation.
